  1. you cannot do blood work but urine can be used to determine peaks in med.
  2. "Takedown" I personally think this word is used by somebody relatively new to mental health. I work on a secure unit. We undergo Prevention and management of aggressive behavior trainning sessions every year and have a least restraint policy. De-escalation techniques are taught in small groups, and in case we have to restrain a patient the assigned nurse always takes the lead followed closely by security or other clinical staff. Every situation is unique and there is no standard response, just ensure patient and your safety. and yes we definitely function as security with no additional pay.
  3. Respect each client, be aware of your environment and know your bounderies.
  4. Strangeways, Here We Come: University of Alberta medical students have something important to say about nurses--especially their breasts! Link below http://www.nursingadvocacy.org/news/2005jul/08_edmonton_j.html
  5. I am relocating to Hawaii in a month and a half, I am currently in Ontario, Canada. Does anybody have a shipping company they have used to ship thier cars and household stuff? Seems like it's better to ship than purchase a car and household items as they take time and are quite expensive.
