  1. Great memories for me as well. I think the best stories that I remember from past years are the ones where you get to see patients recover and go on to live happy, awesome lives. You get to see God work in miracles and see families restored. I can always picture in my head watching families walk out of the hospital with new lease on life, and a new focus. It never got old.
  2. I use the air sports watch 2 and I love it. I had the original one but then bought the new one when it came out. The inside watch thingy comes out and the whole thing can be completely washed and cleaned and is sterile, which from what I have read on this thread most of you are concerned about. It has a stopwatch on it too, so I can take a pulse with it. I think the name of the company is Air Sports Watch, or something. I used a coupon code I found "AIR15" and I think it gets you 15% off plus free shipping (don't hold me to it though, it may be old or whatever). At least it did when I bought it :-)... It runs about $39.95 and you can get 4 or 5 different colors I think.
  3. I agree with those who share their info. When I talk to patients, I think, what better way to encourage them in their time of need than to let them know that I am just like them, and have gone through similar struggles? Of course, I am careful with what I say as far as giving identifiable info or my address, etc, but in general, I try to encourage as much as possible. We all have to remember that they are people who need people who care. That's what being a nurse is all about, and it goes beyond the medical part of it, IMO.
