So I’m in my second week of orientation as a new case manager at a new hospital and I find myself missing patient care. I hear floor nurses talking and feel like I’m no longer part of the action. Anybody else go through this? I try to remind myself of all the stress on the floor, but then I see how relaxed the nurses seem at this new facility and wonder if I would’ve been happier as a bedside nurse somewhere else. I was definitely over the 12-hr shifts. Plus, I’m making alot more money as a Case Mgr. TIA for any feedback.

Hi all, good luck to those interviewing! Did anyone apply to the AGNP concentration? I haven’t heard anything and I’m concerned b/c NursingCAS didn’t finish my transcript entry until after the 2/15 deadline. I emailed admissions, but no response, yet. I’m sure they’re swamped with requests...

Have you taken Pharmacology? If not, get that done once your pre & co-reqs are complete. Good luck!

What kind of shoes are you guys going to get?

I'm really excited, too and nervous! I want to get as much crossed off my list asap. You have to get the uniforms and pins at Copy's Uniform...it's across the street from the LW campus in the plaza behind Wendy's. The pins take 2-3 weeks.

It's already adding up....BLS = $58.25 (had to sign up for Black Friday at Medical Allied Training because I can't make the 11/17 class and nobody else had a weekend class ). Ordered 2 name pins at Copy's = $9 each. Didn't buy the uniform, yet, but they're $26.98 for tops, $26.98 for bottoms (with side pockets) and the jacket is $32.98. NMS is going to be $140, not to mention physical, vaccines, and titers. Ouch! Oh and don't forget the shoes...

I wonder if they're going to send out denials today and acceptances on Monday?! I'm actually glad the school is open today so there won't be any additional delays. Good luck everyone!

Not to be a bummer, but I doubt we'll hear anything until the end of the month. Looking through past threads...Spring 2012 applicants found out October 31st and Spring 2011 found out November 1st. I really hope we don't have to wait that long!

Nevermind, Leila fixed it like 2 minutes after I e-mailed her!! Total points: 28.85 for LW Part Time program.

Thanks, knuquist! My points posted today, but they're wrong and I'm freaking out. They only gave me 8 points for the hesi, but I should have 10 because I scored 92.86%. I sent an e-mail to Leila and just left a message at the number you posted. Thanks, again!

Thanks for the info, KSpriggs! Yeah, everyone is saying that it took 1-2 wks for their points to show up so that's why I'm starting to get worried. Although, it seems mostly everyone on here turned their apps in earlier. There are check marks next to transcripts received and evaluated at the top of the page. Everything else is N/A or 0.00. Even the Program Fee Paid shows N/A. Current status shows Pre-Program application...
