I feel exactly the same way. This is my 3rd week as an OB case manager and when I go to the units I miss doing patient care, which is something I never thought that I would say. When I was at the bedside I HATED the stress, the long shifts, the sass I would get from doctors. I didn't feel appreciated. But now, when I go to the units I feel like they don't see me as "one of them". Even though I could jump in and help you get ready for your stat C-section in a second. Everything is a trade off though. I'm not as stressed, I have typical hours that work for me, and I don't have to work holidays and weekends. I think in the long run, this new position will be better for my health and sanity!
