  1. It may be helpful to drink or nibble on anything you ate or drank -while you were studying-! Also if you wore a particular comfey outfit or something... Knowledge hides out in your food and clothing. LOL I am joking of course! However, the brain DOES make associations and connections we don't fully understand. I've been pretty neurotic about keeping things consistent during tests (my Starbucks and a mechanical pencil I love) and it has served me well so far. At the very least, it's a small source of comfort and familiarity at a stressful time. Something else I always try to do (the few days before a test) is study right before I go to sleep. I am convinced the brain works on, organizes, and integrates new information very efficiently while we sleep (on an empty stomach). I can't back it up scientifically, but again.... paying attention to these details is how I function best. Hope it helps! May the Force be with you! :wink2:
  2. ooooh! can i join the fun? i start a&p on sept. 18...every tues and thurs night 6-10pm. i am also working full time, so this should be lovely. lol actually i am really excited; i took a medical terminology certificate course in march to get a foundation for the lingo and to be a nerd. it was great. anyone else starting next week? i could really use a sense of community while going through this. i will contribute whenever possible.... :) here's to spongy, learny brains! (=cheers=) cz
  3. Hi All, Just wondering if someone here can help me with some information... I am wanting to relocate to Murfreesboro (from Canada) in the not too distant future. My goal is to attend an LPN program there. I know of Tennessee Tech, and have applied (very recently), but are there any other LPN schools in Murfreesboro or closely surrounding towns you would recommend? Any information regarding schools, living in M'boro and/or working as an LPN would be deeply appreciated. I will be coming down for a week toward the end of March and would like to get as much accomplished as possible- hopefully completing admission req's like taking the HOBET, etc. Aside from working a full time job and a part time job, I am currently taking a Medical Terminology certificate course (for kicks and to get back into the habit of studying) and volunteering at the children's hospital because I -eventually- want to get into pediatric nursing. Baby steps! lol Anywho, any advice would be =wonderful=. Please feel free to email me @ [email protected] if you have any q's or comments. Bless you and thank you++ in advance for your time and your help!
