Starting Walden AG-ACNP program September 2 2014
Hello all will be starting my adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner program at Walden September2. Just wondering if there is anyone else starting a Walden NP program at this time? Will be good knowing i have classmates out there. Originally I was planning to attend Kaplan university- as this is where I received my BSN but changed my mind due to poor customer service and feeling devalued as a perspective student. Any one have any advice or questions for me> I am so excited

Debating Kaplan FNP
Originally I enrolled in the Kaplan RN to MSN FNP. I will be completing my BSN portion of the program this month. I graduate on July 26 and start the MSN on july 30th. Now I am just debating if I should continue on or change universities for the FNP? I have enjoyed by BSN program. As a continued graduate I get alumni credit discount for graduate studies it will be $294.50 a credit hour Kaplan uses quarter credits so the total credits for the FNP is 90 credits and AGNP is 90 credits. That means my program will be a shade under $30,000 plus books which if purchased new is about $1200. ( i plan to buy used and use my hospital medical library? Any one have any suggestions on an online program under $40,000 a year?

Lpn to rn compensation
well personally I believe even if you are not compensated for your years has a licensed practical nurse that experience is valuable and you will be better prepared as a RN to tackle day today responsibilities. and I think I am a better register nurse because of the things I had to go through as the licensed practical nurse-
