  1. Sounds like it. You are a pre-nursing student, not yet a nursing student. A few schools I know require some necessary prereqs befoore you can take the nursing entrance exam which then based on space and a background check and gpa req gets you into the actual major. Talk to a counselor and see how your school works.
  2. Hey AssociateDegree. I just got the call this morning that I will be moved to the Parma program! We just had to fill out a request to move paper at orientation and after doing all the moving I got in. So excited!
  3. I think a great way to learn and remember things is through gossip. Now I'm not much a gossiper but what I mean by that is to grab another classmate or someone with time and have them tell you facts you are to learn. Have a gossip session about the chapter. Related real life to the information, google a video. Record the info and have it play back in your car on you way to work or school (like how you can learn a song you never even looked up the lyrics to. Oh, flashcards are great too. I know I sound crazy but I do everything in the book and you'd be amazed at the random facts you retain like constantly playing Jeopardy.
  4. I know I'm only a pre-nursing student but I have worked in a hospital in close quarters with a nursing floor for almost 3 years and I think I understand. It's alway a good thing to stay for at least a year. You should maybe consider being a visiting nurse or trying a smaller facility, even a nursing home. A lot of nurses also work maybe 3days a week doing 12hr shifts.
  5. For starters you must have a 3.0 and BSN to get a MSN. Unlike you I've learned I just love being in school so I'll be getting my ADN at community college and Ohio University offers an RN-BSN online for 3 semesters for like $7500 before books, CSU does the same just more expensive. Then the MSN can also be done online at both schools in I think 3 semsters also. So you can just get an ADN and then do the rest online while working as a RN, the good thing is most jobs offer tuition reimbursement. Hope this helps.
  6. But you have to be a parma hospital employee. Im at CCF for now til school start.
  7. Oh wow thats a wide variety all over cleveland. Hopefully i end up with one closer to home. I wish there were classes at western campus. Im not far from there. But hopefully i get parma, southpoint or bedford. Thanks for the info.
  8. Anyone know where the clinicals for Tri-c Eastern Campus Day Program will possibly be? I'm trying to find a new less stressful job that will fit with my schedule when I start Spring 2013 and knowing the clinical location will help.
  9. I have also been admitted for Spring 2013. I only have bio 2500 to take other than nursing courses. What campus will you be on?
