  1. Good luck lola! My friend who got into the Spring cohort told me that they're accepting 200 for the Summer cohort. I'm not sure if that's accurate or not but that gave me some breathing room haha
  2. Oh nice! I think October would be much better for me because Hawaii takes a while to transfer license.
  3. Just finished! Definitely was nervous as hell. The interview took almost 20 minutes and she only asked for one unit that I'm interested in. Questions: Why Swedish? Why Nursing? Why the unit you chose for? What makes someone the prime choice to work that unit? Any leadership experience? What was your most favorite clinical? She told me that the position is for August and that there is no set date yet since the managers need to get together. They will get back to me in mid-March if I get the next interview. Also, they look at your volunteer, clinical, leadership experiences, and your academics as well. Good luck to both you guys! Let me know how you guys do :)
  4. I'll ask the start date today when they call me (omg in an hour). I'll let you guys know how it goes!
  5. I applied the night they posted the position, so I'm thinking last week Tuesday? I chose ER as my first choice, but if they ask if I could work in another department I'll definitely take that. They should be contacting you soon, two of my other classmates got a call today also.
  6. I applied for that too! Swedish just called me this morning when I woke up and I'm schedule for a 30 minute phone interview with their HR this Wednesday. I heard that they ask a lot of behavior questions, but I'm not sure if thats the HR portion. Hope you get a call soon!
  7. I'm also from Hawaii and I'm going to graduate from UH Manoa on Spring 2016. So far I only researched Swedish Hospital and they recruit twice a year (July/November the last time I checked). Hopefully you found and applied for a hospital!
  8. 133, 99 math, 77 science, 72 reading. i had about 2-3 B's but I took many classes to replace them. I didn't get in the first time, but I improved my GPA and luckily they pulled me out of the alternate list the 2nd time. What is your grades?
  9. Thanks guys! Basically I checked my e-mail this morning and I got one from the School of Nursing. They told me there was a status change and I had to go there to talk with Brian. He gave me the acceptance letter there. I don't know how to register for classes though. @janegamiao I'm taking CNA course this summer actually. My friends told me that people who took CNA had an easier time when they got in because the first year is basically review from what you learned. So you'll be able to get a head start when you get in :)
  10. Staunch, i got my acceptance today!
  11. you get the giant brown envelope from what i hear. rejection and waitlist is the white mail
  12. got the white envelope letter again...BUT its the alternate list. is there a lot of people that declines? or should i start summer school to replace one of my class.
  13. dam, my stuff didn't change yet. i called in to ask if i'm not accepted if my STAR never changed. but the lady said that STAR isn't that accurate and i should just wait for the letter. THE SUSPENSE, i'm planning my backup classes for next semester just in case. congrats to you though!
  14. one of my friend said that his academic STAR changed to nursing. mines didn't change yet, anybody else?
  15. @Staunch sadly no . Brian said the pool was high last semester. I got 133 for composite, 99 math 78 science (wasn't prepared for physics) and 76 reading. My pGPA and cGPA is around 3.5. They told me what I have is good but everyone in this forum had around 4.0 gpa.
