    Our standard ratio is 1:2 for our 12 bed unit.... but if there is an in house code or an RRT which involves an ICU transfer we have to flex up..... Our ER has had to hold ICU patients because of lack of nurses in the ICU.... I don't know what the bes...

    I am hoping to take the test in June....studying with 3 other people every Tuesday night...plan on going to NTI in May but want to wait til after to take the test...have been member of AACN since 1998....Have seen Laura Gasparis VonFrolio in person.....

    It's amazing how much stress this issue has caused in our unit.... But, could the visitation issue be less stressful if the nurse to patient ratio was better? Or would your feelings remain the same, even if you had only one patient to care for?
