  1. Thank you everyone for the feedback. It's good to know it serves more then just resume space. The two day course did help with lab and applications with my CCN program so the money wasn't a total lost. Thanks again.
  2. If this forum isn't the correct place please admits have this question more ta more appropriate area. RN from Canada. So I'm enrolled in the Critical care nursing program at Durham college. I enrolled in the TNCC (trauma nursing core course) and passed both exam and sim lab. What does a TNCC provider card do? I see this course just as that education hours and theory with sim lab. But this provider card has me confused. What is TNCC provider card good for besides being on a CV (resume)?
  3. In my nursing program in Canada, I failed the math call test both times, why easy; I got cocky,. The practice questions never reflected the actual tests. But In my case the policy stated one would be closely monitored during consolidation. As for the triple fail. I have had 3 students in 4th year final lab exam for skills fail 4 times and yet still on the 5th get to redo and pass. These students were the weakest of our class both theory and clinical. Yet were allowed to continue on to consolidate. Fight the program and you'll find yourself fighting all your labs and exams. Good luck. NS
  4. The most recent study done from 2014, is the first to measure and compare taste and odour disturbances associated with 2 syringe preparations of NS in a pediatric population. The study [Full text] is here for those who wish to read it. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4214577/pdf/cjhp-67-353.pdf Authors concluded it "these disturbances have been attributed to the leaching of volatile substances into the NS from the plastic of the syringe." However the pathophysiology was not investigated in this study or previous cited papers. The authors stated the limitations in their paper and the direct of future research into this phenomenon.
  5. My advice, buy an ipod and excite your cochlear nerve.
