Pearsonvue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 3
YAY, you paasssseeed!! Based on the experience of most people I would say it's almost 100% accurate. I took my nclex July 11, and got the good pop up, and I got my official results about a week later. I know some people who got directed to the CC page, and later found out that they officially did not pass. SO it workkss!

Hurst Review vs. Kaplan
I ONLY used kaplan and I LOVED IT!! Questions are a lot harder than the actual NCLEX, so it definitely prepares you well. Some of my friends that took both hurst and kaplan said that hurst really helped with content. HOWEVER, Kaplan also has videos that do an excellent job in reviewing content!!! Kaplan is the way to go!! I took my NCLEX July 11 and passed with 75 questions!!

For those who took the NCLEX...
YAY congraats on passing!! Check the California Board of Registered Nursing website (http://www2.dca.ca.gov/pls/wllpub/wllqryna$lcev2.startup?p_qte_code=RN&p_qte_pgm_code=7800), your name should pop up in three business days. I took my NCLEX on a wednesday and my name was up by saturday morning! I got by RN license in the mail in week!! YAY, time for you to celebrate!!!!

interview for ICU as a student nurse
If they ask you situational type of questions remember that as a student nurse, your responsibilities are most likely that of CNA (so if there is something wrong with the patient, you should definitely mention that you will stay with the patient and call the RN). They might ask you why you wanted to be a nurse, and why you want to work in that facility/ICU (definitely brush up on the hospital's mission and vision and all that good stuff). Go in there confident and show your love for nursing! GOOD LUCK!!

Hello! I was wondering if any of you have interviewed for a new grad position at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital in Whittier. I have an interview with them in about two weeks, and I was wondering how I should prepare for it. I was told it would be a panel type of interview. I would REAAALLLYYY appreciate any tips! I know getting interviews as a New Grad RN is tough, I don't want to blow it!!

The NCLEX & My Kaplan Scores!
HELLO! Like a lot of people here, I wanted share my NCLEX story! I just wanted to give hope to some of you, especially those who are using Kaplan! My scores for kaplan were: QT1: 47% QT2: 47% QT3: 43% QT4: 48% QT5: 57% QT6: 57% QT7: 63% Overall Qbank: 54% As you can see, my scores weren't all that great! In QT1-4 I was just doing questions and reviewing the wrong answers, as you can see my scores really sucked. I then decided to change my strategy and began to view content (I watched the videos that Kaplan has ---> pharmacology and physiological adaptation). After that my scores on both the QT and Qbank began to go up! However, I only got a 70% once on Qbank and my scores really just stayed in the upper 50%. Again, even though my scores weren't the highest, I felt like I had studied enough and felt confident in taking the exam! I just want to say trryy not to be discouraged if your scores aren't the best. Just study and go over them and understand the rationale. I passed the NCLEX with 75 questions, and honestly, I felt the exam was easier than Kaplan. I only got about 8-10 SATA and the rest were multiple choice. I was worried because I always heard people getting about 20 SATA, so a part of me felt that I may not have passed. Don't let the number of SATAs or even the # of questions you get discourage you (I know a couple of friends who got all 265 and passed!!). Just TRUST yourself and the knowledge that you have .. I mean you made it through nursing school!! Go in with confidence, YOU CAN DO IT! Good luck to all of those who are still studying!! *** I studied three weeks before my exam. 6 days/week 6hrs/day (It succckeed!!) Kaplan was the only source I used. I did about 50-150 questions/day. ***
