Gross Me Out ? Contest | Nurses Week
I was rostered to work in Recovery that night and asked to look after this young man who weighs +/- 250 kg and can barely fit in a hospital bed and too large to even roll on to his sides. he hasn't been passing urine the whole day, and when I offered a bottle and volunteered to hold it for him since he just can't reach that part.. (and it's too tiny that all I can see is a hole on his b***s) anyway, he tried to manoeuvre the bottle himself thinking he was being helpful, the urine ended up splashing in the air.. in the curtains, on his bed and bed sheets, monitors, pumps, ended up splashing on my clothes, eyes, face and ewww.. on my mouth. It was really salty. I ended up with a rash on my face because his urine was maybe too acidic as he didn't pee the whole day. Had my second shower that night in theatre and I think, I developed a trauma with urine bottles.

Yes. If you have enough savings that should be fine.

Has anyone tried IHNA's bridging program?
Yes, the school requires full payment prior to the commencement of the course. Not unless you wanted to sign up with some agencies in the Philippines like PhilMan. They pay everything for you then you pay them back when you get a job.

^ana0927 Ask your school which type of visa you need to apply for to be sure.. $200 is the usual weekly room rate in Melbourne. Since IHNA is like 20 minutes from Melbourne cbd, rates are expected to be within that range or even higher. Now if you want cheaper accommodations, you can avail ihna's accommodation for about 2 weeks then you can always look online for cheaper alternative.

^ SnowSeal BP stands for Bridging Program, it's a conversion course for international nurses wanting to work in Australia. Before nurses could apply for a visa, they need to get an assessment done with ahpra first to prove their eligibility. That's the reason why we go to AHPRA initially--which is the same step done by all previous nurses who did the bridging.

Hi ana0927 My first visa when I did my bridging is Business Short Stay Visa but it's non existent now. My succeeding visas: 1. Subclass 457 - when I was sponsored by my employer 2. Subclass 186 - Employer Sponsored RSMS Visa for Permanent Residency ^for these 2 visas, I did the application all by myself. Some tips for you when you do your own: -download the complete document checklist from the website -all documents should be notarized and scanned. -follow all instructions in the application form -when you start application, make sure you have completed the documents to avoid delays in processing -get your debit/credit card ready -make sure you apply for the right visa otherwise all fees are non refundable.

Anna0927 Visa application is easy..you can do it yourself and make sure you read immi's website properly. Ahpra is definitely more complicated than the visa so you should be fine. When I first entered Australia, tbe agency did everything for me but when I needed to apply for my succeeding visas, I just did everything on my own. Steps are easy to follow. All the best.

^om'sarah, it depends on your age group, visa, & state you are staying.. you can get a quick quote online from both bupa & medibank. The latter is just a bit more expensive. :) to give you an idea, for a 29 y/o single student in VIC, the coverage is around $133 for 3 months. ^rejai11 Sorry I didn't know that you sent me a message on twitter. I'm doing good here.. been working full time for almost 2 years now. :)
