  1. Nope, your not the only one. It's not easy...I see my wife once a week sometimes twice. She is a full time RN and I'm in pre-nursing studies full time and we juggle two children as well (ok smartie pants--not literaly). I thought I was at my breaking point this semester b/c of not seeing my family all in one place at one time. I didn't think I could stick it out at school, but my wife asked me, "What's the alternative?" She is...as usual, correct. What else would I be doing? I hated the carrer I had (selling cars--then motorcycles). I watched my woman gut it out twice--pre-med BS then BSN RN. If she can do it twice I can at least do it once. I love my wife dearly...but come on, what dude would willingly wuss out after watching their wife totaly kick butt? Realize it is not forever, time really goes fast, and it'll be over before you know it. I can't believe I've been married 10 yrs and have two kids... what the heck....?
  2. Good luck to everyone that is starting school! I start Monday(oh crap, this comming Monday!??!). I think I am going to puke now :barf01:
  3. :behindpc: Class starts August 22 for my five year BSN! in missions nursing at Reformed Bible College/Calvin College. Zoiks, has it really been 13 years since high school? I'm gonna be sick...
  4. Yes,yes! Something in a white, torso, body armor, with the "six pack" and "man-boob" muscles formed into it. Oh and the ball cap for good measure,... um a batman utility belt, white boots(military spec. of course)...Hey lets face it folks nurses are super-heros, why not dress like it?!
  5. I was supposed to take Biology with my current class load thereby making it 16 credits, but since I dont have a 2.5 upon entrance, I can't paticipate in the collaborative portion(i.e. science classes at Calvin) of my degree till winter semester. I dont want to drag out this five year BSN program any longer than I have to! Reformed Bible College/Calvin College BSN Class of 2010
  6. Oh that's funny... I replyed to the other post you made! :lol_hitti I'll PM her email address to ya
  7. Jen, Did you know my wife Amy(your old class mate) starts on the floor this weekend on 4S Neuro?! You'll have to call and see how she likes it!
  8. I CANT WAIT BECAUSE... I'm sick and tired of retail sales And now that my wife is a new RN, she can put me through school! :icon_hug:
  9. Wee-hoo! I got my August class schedule in the mail yesterday!(early registration option) I'm so excited, it actually looks like the long road is starting! English 101 Gateway to Excellence ( freshmen requirement, welcome to college class....) Intro to Psychology Old Testament Survey (survey of the 39 books of the Old Testament Bible) Christian college. First semester is only 12 credits due to probationary admission.( so who cares.. I'm in)

Yes! Actually, I've have had it both ways :redlight: ( a fart that smelled like a belch, I didn't get right in there and seee if it "tasted " like one , I'll try on the next "pass" How a bout rippin a good ol' ripe one in bed (like last night hee hee) and lifting/wafting the covers for your significant other to enjoy. I've heared it called "Biker foreplay" or "Dutch-oven" She even called me names last night!!:barf01: Ah, I sit here at the office giggling to myself, thinking what a bunch of wonderful freaks are in this forum ( uh-ho better not push that one out).

I'll be starting classes this August. another RM on the way! (Registered Male :lol_hitti )
  12. My wife and I are switching careers in our thirties, but who would have guessed it would put us both in the same field :blushkiss I'll be attending Reformed Bible College for the three year pre-nursing program with heavy emphasis on theology and missions. I'll then transfer to Calvin College for the final 2 years of the nursing major (as per the collaborative agreement between the two schools). The end result (Lord willing ) will be a BSN from Calvin with a minor in bible & theology. Long road to hoe...? Yep, but it equips me in the way I would like to serve. besides, who wants to wait 4-1/2 to 5 years just to get into the ADN at GRCC? I'll be done, and have the BSN to (maybe?) eventually use my managment experience. I have nothing against GVSU or its teaching, but that said, they will have had plenty of our money with this degree, as it will be my wifes second B.S. from Grand Valley. :stone The wife is currently doing a Community Health preceptorship with GR public schools, and has PACU at Butterworth next. then done!!!
  13. I'm new to this web site, was browsing about and saw your thread. My wife Amy is @ GVSU finishing her BSN and will graduate in April 05! Small world. :) I start my BSN this fall, not at GVSU though
