B.S. in health science... can it lead to a career in nursing?
Have you looked into an accelerated nursing program? I don't know what state you live in but many schools in Ohio have accelerated nursing programs or people who have non-nursing undergraduate degrees. There are even programs that allow you to earn your a Master of Nursing degree with a non-nursing undergrad degree. I did an accelerated BSN program. It was intense but It was worth it. I hope this helps.

I was offered a job but had it rescinded because I could not pass the physical capability assessment. I was cleared for light duty. I am older than most new grads (this is my second career change in life). The nurse recruiter and nurse manager are giving me 90 days to come back and reapply.

The program is intense. I did it and worked full time. I would not recommend doing that though lol. For the most part the program does prepare you too pass your boards. The only criticism I have is that the program is a little disorganized as far as the clinical times and scheduling. You will learn the true meaning of being flexible and patient.

I was initially contacted on July 10th. I had one phone interview July 12th.i was called by a nurse recruiter from Hillcrest 2 weeks ago. I finally have an interview scheduled for next Tuesday. Most of my classmates already have jobs at Cleveland Clinic because they either worked there as a HUC or PCNA.

I applied, had two phone interviews (one for OB nursing and one for cardiac step down). Now I am just waiting for a nurse manager to call me in for an interview.
