HELPPPP HELPPPP
don't give up, take some time away to regroup and get back on the study wagon. I failed my first exam, came back and enrolled in Kaplan on demand. I did between 100-200 questions a day, then I would go back and read every single question, the ones I got right I would read the rational and move on but the wrong answers I would go back to my saunders book and read all about that subject. I did that for all questions in Kaplan, did all the q bank questions, all 7 tests, listen to the videos and learned the decision tree, where it helps you to narrow down to your two and finaly go for the best answer. I took my exam this past september and thank all heavens was sucessful. Don't give up and dedication will be your key to sucess.

nclex-rn help desperately needed
i too graduated in Dec 2012 and took my first exam march 2013, did not pass. I felt miserable, but kept telling myself I was going to pass this no matter what. I used Kaplan and did at least 300 questions a day, listened to the videos and doing more questions during the lessons, I used the decision tree they preached about all the time, sometimes it worked, some other times I just remember the material and was able to figure things out. I used my yellow saunders book, it became my Bible, because everytime I would get a wrong answer on Kaplan I would go back to Saunders and read upon it. My took my exam again this past week and was blessed to see "pass" next to my name. don't give up and use your time to continue to work hard and apply yourself. good luck!

I am so lost....
keep your head up and try not to worry too much about what others are doing. Focus on what you need to do. First time I did not pass and felt miserable, my classmastes were moving on too, but I found myself appreciating the fact that I had completed nursing school and this was going to be my battle despite what others had done. so i did Kaplan and saunders, would do 300 questions a day, watched the teaching videos and read saunders as a backup for my wrong my answers . Stay positive, take your time and focus on you. Good luck!

failed for the third time
Please don't give up. I too failed before I was sucessful. I used Kaplan and Saunders. Did at least 300 questions a day and make sure you read the rationals and what I did was also looked in my saunders book further researching more information as to why I got the wrong answer to begiin with. don't get discouraged, it takes alot of work and sacrifice but if you apply yourself 100% you will too be sucessful. Good luck!

done with NCLEX!
I've been reading everyone's posts for the past several months while I anxiously waited for my turn. Well it came and I finally got that "pass"message written next to my name. I graduated December '12, tested for the first time March '13 and did not pass. So a friend asked me to try out Kaplan and for the past 3 months I've done all Kaplan tests, q'banks, classes as well as continued reading Saunders. I would take a Kaplan test and go back and read every single question, rationales and the wrong answers, I would search Saunders for the answers. I would sometimes do between 300-500 questions a day, would take 3 days off and go back at it again. Day before the test, I did 500 questions, scanned my Saunders book and up 'til 10:30 p.m. that night, I listened to Kaplan's lectures on line. I know they say day before rest, but I wanted it all fresh on my brain for the next day. That morning, I got to the center, said a prayer and sat there in front of that computer and thought "I'm at home doing Kaplan" I took several brakes, washed my face in between and kept on going. I'm blessed to have passed. I wanted to share my story with you all, as I have read many stories and I gained the confidence to say I can do the same. So please don't give up, keep working hard, your turn will be soon. Good luck to you all!
