we also had a pre enterance exam to get into nursing if you didnt want to use your GPA

i also think you can get your GPA up i made an A in AP and psyc andAP 2,you can do it. i am going to nrusing school at a country community college i will be graduating in 2014, i have finished all my pre classes, and all i have is nursing classes, take some advice, its really hard to take additional classes with nursing classes, if you can take AP 1&2 before you begin nursing semester. students are dropping out left and right because they cant keep there grades up. its very sad.

have you taken your hesi(final) for first semester? i have mine at the end of nov. i am starting to study for it. i was wondering how did you study for it? im looking at everything randomly and i dont have a system

hey, i started the nursing program in aug. i am know on the home stretch, i have one more clinical left,and only three and a half weeks left of the semester. but i also have two more test and the final. i am so nervous i have a 88 average, we have to pass with a 78 or up. the electrolyte and fluids test is complicated.. i would so love an A and i am trying to study for the final(hesi)., i dont really know how to go about that. does anyone have any ideas. but i sure cant wait to call myself a second semester nurse. tee hee

dont moms have a way of sayin the wrong things at the right moment. my mom is the same way, she thinks im neglecting my kids house and husband, she will tell me that there are thing more important then nursing school. i have learned to stay away when im at my worst and never speak with her about my school and things work out fine. i love the post about doing school in chunks, its only 16 weeks in a sememter and i have already done 5, just 11 to go, it will be worth in the end, we will have a job to better take care of our kids and house that we love more than anything.

ive learned to take one day at a time, they will throw you a lot of information right off and tell you everything to come, to fret,jus one day at a time. and you start on my birthday, thats got to be a good sign

hey class of 2014, my school start aug. 10, its been going none stop since. i have had two exams so far and made a 90 on the first and a 94 on second. i was crazy excited. our test are similar to the HESI, so they can get us better prepared, i started clinicals this week and it turned out to be a great experience so far. the teachers keep us so busy with busy work that i feel like im smothering. i have to teach an eduactional class on BP to the community in two weeks, the same week we have a test, on top of that ill have a clinical that week. that will be my stress week. if i can do that week i think i will be ok. we have to teach the BP class to our instructors first, before we go to the community, so a little nervous. we also have lots of paper due. one about our clinicals, about the teaching project, i feel sososososos OVERLOADED. i need a secretary! not a bad idea! i wish i was rich!! i cant wait to hear all of your stories over the next two years. DONT FORGET TO HAVE SOME FUN!!

We have to wear a white scrub top and draw string white pants that are slightly bell bottomed high waters that cannot touch the floor. With big blue patches. On sleeves. Very nursy.lol

You sound just like me I have 4 kids and I'm starting nursing progam next monday. I know how you feel about living paycheck to paycheck after getting kids registered and football sign ups I have no money for myself to get ready for school. We were supposed to be able to charge our books august third. There is something going on with a student loans and they are not showing up so the people with financial aid cannot charge their books yet.schooll starts monday and I might not have my books. I'm not going to stress out. I think nursing school will be fun and I would love to vent with you whenever you need it
