  1. From Maine, I took it exactly 47 days after my first time!!!! How is the studying going? Good Luck to you
  2. All I did was the questions, I averaged 200-400 questions a day! That is all I did for about 4 weeks, it took alot of dedication but I did it. I got my license in the mail yesterday!!!!! Good luck to you, you can do this! When I went the first time I was near passing on most categories and below passing on 3 categories. I did not focus on just one area for the questions, I did random questions. I did do the LaCharity book on Prioritization, Delegation and Assignments and I found that very helpful. Good Luck!!!! Keep us posted.
  3. I failed the first time as well, for the second time this is what I did: on the days that I worked I did about 200 questions and on the days that I was off I reviewed about 400 questions. I did this for a month. I did the complete book by LaCharity (Priortization, Delegation and assignment). I also reviewed Kaplan test taking strategies. I found questions with answers and rationales everywhere, whether it be on a disc, online or in different books. The last week before going back to retake my exam all I did was any and every comprehensive exam I could find and I averaged between 73%-90% on them. The day before I traveled to the city where I was to take the exam(which happened to be 4 hours away) and reviewed just some of the pharmacology that I struggled with. I had fun with my family and woke up the next morning I went for my exam It took me 2 1/2 hrs to take my exam and 89 questions later!!!! I PASSED!!!!!!!!! You can do this!!! Good Luck!
  4. I know exactly how you feel, I failed the first time on June 14. At our school we did ATI review and that is all I focused on the first time. The worst part for was going back to my classmates and telling them I FAILED, I got over it quickly and started right in with reviewing. This time all I did was question after question, I did approximately 200 questions a day or more. I also reviewed Kaplan test taking strategies and I reviewed the LaCharity book. Now today, I retook the exam at 8 this morning and guess what I got the good POP UP!!!!! Pretty excited about it but will be even more excited once I see Active on my states Board of Nursing website. Keep your chin, stay focused and pray!!!! You will get there. Good Luck.
  5. Good Luck tomorrow!!! I am going as well and it is my second time around. Just feeling a little anxious, I have done over 200 questions a day for the last month. Over this past weekend I did comprehensive exams and scored 70 and above on them so I am praying that I will past this time around. Good luck to you, WE will do this!!!!
  6. CONGRATS!!!!!! You did it! I am going next Tuesday for the 2nd time and I am still so nervous, feel like I am not retaining anything anymore. I do about 200 questions a day from Kaplan, Saunders and LaCharity! My goal this weekend is to review test taking strategies and the stuff that I was weak on the first time. Once again, congrats!!!!
  7. First thing I need to do is to say "Thank You" for this forum, I like reading what is posted from advice, to prayers and study guides. I come on this website whenever I get discouraged or if I need a break from studying. I did not pass 1st time around and I am planning on passing this time. I do approximately 200 questions a day and averaging 65-90% on the various test that I take. I am using Kaplan book, Saunders book, and ATI which was provided from our school. My problem is I tend to read too quickly, does anybody out there have any suggestions as to what I can do to slow down?
  8. What is the Question Trainer? Is this something you buy from Kaplan? I have the Kaplan book and I have never heard of the Question Trainer, it might be something I maybe considering for studying questions. Good luck with your exam!!!!
  9. Congrats on passing!!! I went for the first time on June 14 and unfortunately I did not pass, I used the ATI as well and was not impressed. I am currently doing Kaplan and I am doing about 100 questions a day, I find myself gaining confidence everyday. Looking forward to retaking the exam and will be doing things differently. Congrats again! Thanks for posting.
