  1. So I just finished my first semester. I work full time in L&D, 3-12hr shifts one week and 3-12 + and 8hr shift the next. I am in the part time program, with basically 6 credit hours a semester. I don't think I could handle anymore than that! If you want to stay working full time, then you definitely need to go to school part time. I got A's in both my classes, but it took lots of time!!
  2. I'm in USA's WHNP master's program, about to finish my first semester there. I would rather take online courses, as I find classes that involve lots of writing tend to be pointless to sit through. So far adv pathophysiology and my theory course are pretty much what I expected. The material isn't difficult, just super time consuming. My instructors are very available if you need them by email and some give you their cell phone numbers. So far so good!
  3. So I've glanced through my plan of study and it looks like I'll have all of the classes you talked about before I start my clinical portion! So I have some questions about how they've changed the curriculum to doctoral level classes? I have like 4 600 level classes...they weren't on the course of study that was on the website. Makes me nervous!!!!!!
  4. Yes I work full time in L&D 80hr/pp. Have you seen that the 600 level classes are the doctoral level classes? Not excited....
  5. Bumashes, I would love to hear more about your experience with USA. I'm starting their WHNP program in the Fall. I have a co-worker who is our CNS in L&D who went through their program and was happy with it. She also said it was a lot of work and studying! Hearing bad things about online programs makes me wonder if I'm making the right decision!
  6. Sorry guys, I don't have Facebook, nor can I get it. I'll have to get regular old emails! What classes will you guys be taking for fall semester? I'm supposed to be in NU 545 & 607...want to add 613 to that.
  7. Did you find out which school you're going to go to? I am attending USA's WHNP program in the fall, just wondered if you'd be going there. I'm curious how everyone is going to manage work/school schedules. Not sure how many hours I can handle...
  8. Which program @ USA are you going to be in? WHNP or FNP? Have you seen that the classes are doctoral level classes? How many hours are you going to be taking? Are you working full or part time? Sorry so many questions. I'm starting the WHNP program in the fall @ USA.
  9. Enrolled in the WHNP program for Fall 2012. Are you guys working full time? I'm concerned about taking more than 2 classes at a time because some are doctoral level classes!
