i recently interviewed for crna school and believe me there is nothing in the interview about dressing changes and bowel and bladder program. I think med surg is necessary to make you a well rounded nurse. i really am supprised with the students that are smart enough to get into crna school after only one year. if crna is you goal stick to icu and studdy as hard as you can. study everything and study every single day. in order to pass your ccrn, gre, acls, pals, tncc, really understand hemodynamics and be a great icu nurse your going to need more than one year. good lunck. its not impossible but extreamly difficult.

I'm prior enlisted and want to get back into the army. A recruiter came to speak with me from Albuquerque (AMED) and he had me sign the initial paperwork to receive a physical and enter the strap program. That was about a month ago and now he does not return his phone calls and did not schedule me for a physical. I was very professional with him, I'm a very clean cut person, I'm in shape physically. What do you think is going on?

This is a interesting thread. I heard some outrageous claim that each tooth is worth $4000. People know the risks of anesthesia and if you have old rotten teeth how can you legitimately claim it was the crnas fault. I hate the patients that are getting free surgery and free hospitalization and still try to sue someone for their life long abuse and dental decay.

one funny thing i remember that they asked three times in a row was if you should instill saline down a et tube. well we all know the lit. suggests that we shouldnt. I too overstudied, but it makes you a better nurse. Remember to keep reading articles after you take the exam. Nurses need more education in our field.

Hello to everyone that will be attending tcu. Im getting nervous because my interview is not until the middle of March. Im wondering how many more seats they could possibally have by that time? I submitted my application on Feb 1st for the late deadline. When did they tell you guys that you were accepted? Did they tell you the same day of the interview or let you know a week or two latter? Any advice would really be appriciated.

the exam is really not that difficult. Dont get me wrong if you dont prepare for it youll bomb it, but it sounds like youll do just fine. pa pressures, hyper/kypo kalemia and ekg changes are a big part. review the pass ccrn cd and you will pass for sure.

What are the 5 best schools of nurse anesthesia in the U.S. What do people seem to think on this website. Are there any schools that you would stay away from??? Current CRNA students cant really give a fair opinion. I was just wondering what people think and have heard. I know location and cost play a large role in peoples opinions. Eric

i havent heard anything positive. i have a friend at tex wes and he absolutely hates it. Have other people complained about that school or is he just being a baby???
