  1. Good evening MedicBroomer myself and a friend of mine both CPNE ready. Where in Long Island are you from? Maybe we can set something up..
  2. I'm so happy to say that I have passed both parts of the FCCA... After exactly 12 months to the day and 1 failed test I'm finally about to send in all the needed paper work for the CPNE . I'm so grateful and happy with the place I'm at:)
  3. I would disagree... I say go for the lpn to have a foot in the door. I graduated from my LPN course in August of 2010 took state boards in September and had a job in November.. I have always had employment and never had a problem getting a job..... I've made pretty good money. I'm now enrolled in my RN and will be finishing august 2014... Hope that helps :)
  4. It seems that we are in the same boat. I have completed all of my theory nsg courses and will be starting the FCCA on Monday... I allotted 1 month per test. I passed all my test on the first try except for chronicity. I feel that I was ill prepared for that test bc I didn't use the practice test. The only study info I used was studyguide 101, Saunders comprehensive nclex review book ed 5, quizlet and the practice exams.. I tried and study for 2 hours each night and on the wends I would study for about 6 hours and that's with breaks in between. With all the questions I got wrong on the practice exams I would review and look up so that I could understand why I got the answer wrong. Hope that helps:)
  5. hopefully I will be doing my CPNe in 2014... I will be taking both parts of the FCCA together and hoping to have a schedule date of May/June for CPNe :)
  6. Passed my last test on 12/23/13 of life span 2 and now I'm on my way to taking my FCCA in Janurary:) It felt like a long time coming but now I'm here.... In the final stages to becoming a RN?
  7. Sorry that you failed Life Span 2:( I took the test on December 23 and passed with a B.... I'm excited and ready to move on to my FCCA.... What helped me pass this study was taking both practice test and also using studyguide 101 and using the Saunders nclex comprehensive review book ed. 5.. I know it wasn't recommended but it worked for me.... Best luck next time:)
  8. I'm also a Lpn close to queens who is looking for a study buddy. I'm studying for the transition to Rn test and would love to get some study tips or ideas.
