  1. Wow must be tough for you and all of us. Yeah its true that asking the question where to actually start is the big issue. Anyway i hope we'll all find what and where you start studying for us to make it after we take the exams again if you ever need help im sure me and others here will be willing to help you out. Yup same for me, im thinking of taking both after i attend another review course. I sure do hope it really helps and i know im confindent that i will pass in the near future and so will all of us. Dont think too much into it, just keep tyring hard and workying yourself until you do have good grads on the Qbank, i did that before too and yes i was devastated when i didnt have high marks but i do always keep trying. I hope you pass your NCLEX in one shot, wishing for the best! I heard HURST was pretty good ill check it out and if its online i would guess i'll have more time doing it, but i really like the classroom feel where you can interact with other people and having conversations about the topics because you chan share and learn more that way. Its still only a thought in my head and i hope it does help. Ill check the HURST online and see if they are available for me soon!
  2. Thats completely alright we will pass dont lose hope! Were really on the same boat im about 3 years out as well. And like you i did not quite give all my effort on my first exam. I took it in the Philippines but it took me 9 months to do so because my ATT came after 9 months. And while waiting i got a job at a call center and thats were all my time and energy went. But up until now i have not given up hope because im still looking for a brighter future for me and my fiancee. Hopefully we will all pass here and live beter lives. If there will be a review session with the people on the same boat as us im willing to go, i just have a job right now as a caregiver and dont have much time off but i am really ready and willing to finish this exam once and for all. Dont lose hope we will pass no matter what! This is the first time i've heard of this "Concurrency Issue" could you shed some light on this for me or those who have not yet heard of this? Sounds like its a bad thing for us. And thank you for sharing your review and materials. Hopefully we will also be albe to use those and pass. Hi, its alright failing your exam. I called the NY board of education and i told them that i did not pass before and the guy i talked to also said its quite alright because its not a 100%. He was very comforting about this issue. Congrats on passing your PNLE with high marks. I did not get a chance to take that because i am a US resident and they sent me off here in NY after i finishe school because i did not need it. And yes i totaly agree that our curriculum is tottaly different sometimes me and my cousin who finished her nursing school here in the US have short study sessions and it seems how they taught her was different from ours. BUt that doesnt mean that we will not pass. Its just a matter of how hard we try and how bad we want to be NURSES! Lets all pass together! I've heard that HURST has very good content from the people in this forums. I also had Kaplan and so did my cousin who graduated here in the US, Thats true, i know in myself that im a "Trial and Error" type of guy who learns through experience. And i know failing multiple times makes me feel that im getting the hang of the exam. All i need is to make a harder effort in passing and i know ill be good to go and so we all will.
  3. Hi everyone! I'm in the position now to retake my NCLEX-RN exam. Although this will be my 5th time taking it i know in myself that i will surely pass. Right now i have also applied for the NCLEX-LPN exam. Both will be in the New York State. I am now eligible to take both all i need is to pay the fee and I'm good to go. My question is what is now a good refresher course or NCLEX review courses that you will recommend? First of all I did not graduate here in the USA i graduated from the Philippines. Next I have taken the Kaplan Review Course Last year and half. I have tried doing self review and the questionnaires from different sources. Hopefully people will still provide useful information in this topic like they did before. I love this site because they make you feel as if you will be able to pass your exam because they are very helpful and very encouraging people in this site.
  4. I hope you pass the exam on march! Im rooting for you as well and everybody who is in the same boat as us! Good Luck! Yes! We will in time! Yes i beleieve so as well its almost ourt turn to be RN's! Yes thats true the nursing school is the hard part. This is only an exam. And the real challege is working at a hospital sa RNs. Yeah i had the issue with me being compared to as well to most of my friends who already passed and my dad who is really smart. But just keep your head up high and we'll all pass in the right time, who knows it may be right around the corner for us. We may not be comparable to other people who passed the test in 1 shot but we're still gonna pass and be RN.s like the rest of them. Yes i will keep praying and working hard, you too will be in my prayers so you can pass your exams as well! Good Luck to all of us!
  5. Great to hear you're not giving up! Same here as soon as i can take the exam again i too will finish it for good. Its the only thing that's keeping us from our dream job! Good luck to both of us!
  6. I dont know if im really stupid or what but ive already taken the exam 4 times already... Had different review schools and materials... Had my own review plan suited for myself because i know im not that smart and talented all i can do is work hard... Had exams going from 75, 105, up to my last exam of 265... Anybody had similar issues? Or am i the only one? Probably some encouragement and support is all need to get back up... I keep telling myself ill always end up being an RN its a life goal and a dream although an exam is the only thing standing in front of me... Id like to hear if anybody took it same as me or probably more? I love this site for the supportive users who help people out even though they already passed their exams... Just bummed out again is all...
  7. Thanks! Yeah I'm still going for the RN status! And i do have the Saudners with the CD as well. I also took kaplan review course for my 3rd exam but did hot pass so I still have the book with me, Ill be starting a fresh review now to prepare for the next exam!
  8. That's true! Thanks a lot for the support! I know i can pass! I hope we both pass the exam ill be taking the NCSBN too!
  9. Thanks for the info! Yeah as i heard from some people that the PN Exam was quite harder for them and i also thought about that issue regarding having to take 2 different exams and having to pass the LPN exam as you mentioned about the employer. I already have a job waiting for me as a RN in the hospital that my aunt works but she told me not to rush things about the RN exam, so the question just came in mind. But ill just call the BON and ask about this issue and afterwards ill move forward still with my RN exam! Thanks again! God Bless!
  10. Thanks! Ill be looking more into the requirements of the LPN here in New York Ill also be calling their office tomorrow to see verify the information i got. Yup I'm still going for the RN exam :) And Congratulations on passing even if its for the 4th time as long as we end up being nurses in the end that's all that matters :) Thank You for your support! God Bless! I'm sorry to hear that you didn't pass as well! But like what everybody says lets not give up the exam! And about the question you made it i seems that JustBeachyNurse answered your questions, sorry I'm not sure about those kinds of things either that's why I'm seeking help here :) Good luck to us on our next try and i know we'll pass God Bless!
  11. Thanks for the info about the study materials! And about what you said about taking the LPN, do i have to just take the exam? Or is that a whole new process thing? Like on the pearsonvue website do i just click the NCLEX-LPN and they will send me the ATT to take the LPN exam? I really have no idea. Thanks a lot for posting and your support!
  12. Hello! I already took my NCLEX-RN Exam and i failed 3 times already, and im back again stuying for my next try. Im currently working as a caregiver so that i have a lot of free time reading and studying my books. My relatives are also telling me to take the LPN exam since im just studying. My question is that since i will be retaking my NCLEX-RN Exam in New York, do i have to start a brand new process for the NCLEX-PN Exam as well before i can take the exam? Because at pearsonvue.com there is the option to pick the NCLEX-PN or NCLEX-RN Exam. Do i just select the LPN Exam and pay the fee? Or do i have to process or send in some papers to get approved to take the LPN Exam? Thanks for those who will be providing more information about this matter! God Bless!!
  13. My 2nd NCLEX take took me 104 questions and i still failed. It really doesnt depend on what the actual number of questions you took but how well you took them.
  14. Just keep studying and keep trying to pass the exam, I've failed 3 times too i just got back from vacation to study hard again and pass the next time!
  15. Congratulations !! Great story and very inspiring for someone like me! I've failed 3 times already but im still trying i don't want to lose to an exam! I hope the next time i take the exam i pass as well so i can share my success story such as yours here at the forums :)
  16. Congrats! I hope i do that too but unfortunately for me it will be my 4th try next time but still i have to keep trying, can you give more information on your study guides? or what materials you used to help out people like me who are still struggling? Thanks!
  17. Hi! I read your post and about the pearsonvue trick they say its really working but don't feel sad you're not the only one who did not get the pop up! I still haven't gotten that pop up for the 3rd time now but i know next time i will! Just keep studying and trying your hardest to pass the exam! I know we'll all be nurses soon! Keep Praying and God Bless!!
  18. Hi! I'm sorry to hear about you not passing your NCLEX in just one try but that's okay and its good that you're back on your feet. We may not be in the same area but here in New York it only took me 4 days for my 2nd att and 3 days for my third att. Yes i already failed the exam 3 times already and I'm still studying right now I'm not giving up on the RN dream. :)
  19. Wow really? :) I hope you pass your exam!!! I know we'll be nurses soon! Thanks for the post! I will stick with the RN exam, i just need some source of income right now to start of my adult life.
  20. Yup I am i graduated from the Philippines 2 years ago
  21. Thanks I will! Ill be using those again too! Good luck on you exam and i hope you pass! And i hope i pass next time as well Those scores are okay, i remembered when i started out studying because i didn't do anything for a whole year, my scores were 55% LOL. But just keep it up its almost time for the exam and i know you can make it!
  22. Thanks! I'm also thinking about starting the NCSBN now, and just keep up the good work and i know your grade on the practice questions will go up. I know you'll pass just keep working hard on it and yeah i know i will too Thanks!
  23. Thanks for the info, I saw the NCSBN website as well and still checking on the Hurst, I hope you finish the whole program and hopefully you pass your NCLEX! Good Luck!
  24. Thanks for posting guys, just a couple of questions since you're already taking the online courses. How much are they? How long does it take to complete? And which ones work for you? Like: Hurst, NCSBN, or Kaplan? Thanks again guys!
