Reconsider HCC, seriously. I'd go to San Jac, WCJC, or Lone Star. I'm only saying this from experience. It's very unorganized and you basically teach yourself. The teachers aren't helpful and if you try to ask for help they say to read your book. Some teacher don't know what they are doing... I knew more than some of them. Im trying to hell you out before you make the same mistake I did.

I missed the uniform fitting Friday because I am out of town. Did I miss anything?! Stephanie told me to go to the company's store and order them Monday. Ate we wearing these scrubs everyday or just at clinicals?

I interviewed June 30 and I felt like it went really really well but like you said, you never know! I feel like I rocked it lol.

She said we would interview with 4 people lol. How'd it go?

OK well stephanie jackson said we would be interviewing with 4 diff people but I only interviewed with one. I tried going to the next and she said I wasn't on her list, so now I'm worried!

The lady in charge of my program is horrible! Discouraging... If someone praises us at clinicals she makes a negative comment about us and only looks for the negative, says one thing and changes it randomly (when we bring it to her attention she acts like she doesn't know what we are taking about), let's one student get away with missing x amount of days etc., but if the next student does it they are kicked out or in trouble, shows favoritism to a handful of students and makes it obvious, will sit there at clinical and critique and criticize us the WHOLE time which makes us even more nervous (even though we are doing awesome), doesn't teach just read a word for word out of the book, lies and makes up stuff, talks down on you and if you ask her a question and she doesn't know the answer she tells us to figure it out... She never knows the answers to our questions...the list goes on. Its like she forgets we are students and is so worried about "looking good" that she forgets why she is here... To teach and prepare us (or help with it). It's so bad there are a few of us contemplating qutting. We are almost done but she is making it impossible. I need some opinions please, on what to do. Numerous other classes before us have complained on her and nothing gets done.

I am currently in a surgical tech program and LOVE IT! I have 3 months left before I graduate and then plan on doing nursing. I plan on staying in the OR so this route makes sense. I would say go for it.
