  3. My friends don't be dismay, I will be 51 my next b'day. I will start NP program at UAB in the fall. I can't wait. It's something I have wanted to do for approximately 7 years. I have 22+ years of nursing ( BA Psychology/Sociology &. BSN). I have worked 16 years in ICU/Trauma, last 6 years in PACU/ Pre-op. It's now or never, kids ages 21 & 26 grow, one is finish college the other is a senior at USA. It is time for ME. I am thanking God for the opportunity.

  5. Hi, I got accepted to UAB NP Primary Adult/ Gerontology fall 2012 part-time. Do you have any idea what is cost?
  6. That's inspiring, I am 50 years old and just got accepted into UAB Adult Primary Care, NP program. I start this fall. I have been a nurse for twenty-two years. I always wanted to be a NP but life got in the way. The kids are grown and parents are doing well. This is my chance to do what I really want Before I retire. I plan on working for as long as I can. Although my dream job is coming late in my life, it's better late then never. I am glad there are others out there like me.
