LTC to CRNA
gwapo i cant pm you...but thanks for responding. My gpa is pretty low but who knows i think the grading system is different here..right? i still have to find out. Did you have yours converted to the US system? And i also wanna know if icu here actually accepts RNs with no work experience yet. Since you know in Phil, we can't work and study at the same time. Is it uncommon? Coz maybe im just being too hopeful and wasting my time lol..

Hello! i was looking around for a thread like this coz im also interested in pursuing the same thing. i see that you posted this back in '08...but im in the exact same shoes right now when you posted this. is there by any chance any advice you can give me on how your plans went for you? I also just took my nclex exam 2 weeks ago and i've already passed the nle back in dec '11. i stay in TX now and im trying to land a job in the ICU with absolutely zero experience! is this possible?

Which is harder Phil NLE or NCLEX-RN?
I just took the NCLEX a few weeks ago as a first timer and passed. Took the NLE last December 2011 and passed as well. My opinion, NCLEX was easier and didnt have to take the entire day to complete. After 135 questions i was out the door. NCLEX is also straight to the point, unlike NLE it would be situational and too long to even comprehend annnnd the questions are nothing like practice questions we would review in review centers. I live in TX and while applying for the NCLEX i realized that taking the local board exam in PI was not required at all. I guess some states do require it, but i heard you can always apply to any state then after you get your license, just apply for reciprocity to the state you wish to practice in.
