The Healthcare Ethics Class!
Has anyone besides me found this class to be WAY more difficult & demanding than the others? I am an A student and I flunked it. I FLUNKED IT! Or rather, I chose to take an F in the class when I realized that, no matter how hard I worked, I wouldn't pass anyway. There was something strange going on! The harder I worked and the more time that I put into that class, the worse my grades got. My wife has taught at Regis and at DU. She reviewed my papers. She thought they were fine. I don't know if that professor just didn't like me or what, but it really was something that I can't totally blame myself for (believe me, I tried). Has anyone else had trouble? If you are getting ready to take this class, BEWARE! Take this class in isolation and don't plan on doing anything else. Steven

Regis ADN to BSN
I can answer some of your questions from personal experience, as I have been in that program for over a year & will graduate soon. I have worked full time, but it isn't easy, especially if you are taking the Ethics class; I'd recommend either taking that class in isolation or working part time. I can't tell you about the Clinical days, since I haven't done them yet. Regis is not cheap, especially when compared with WGU or some place like that, but you get what you pay for and I decided to finish my degree at Regis. Hope this helps, Steven

Breaking into the ICU
Hello, All; I'm an RN who has been in LTC for the past 19 years while I raised son as a single father. Now that he is grown, I want to move towards my original goal in nursing to go to CRNA school. I know that I need to spend some time in the ICU before I can even think of CRNA school. I have heard that there are some internships available for nurses in my situation, who have experience but who need to sharpen their skills for a more challenging position. I'm having a hard time finding one that I can get into in the Denver area. Any experience or suggestions? Thanks, Steven

LTC to CRNA
Hello! I'm an ADN who has worked in Long Term Care for 19 years while I raised my son as a single dad. I started into nursing with the dream of being a CRNA but couldn't pursue that and work and raise a child at the same time. My son is grown and I have a supportive spouse who is willing to help me in realizing my dream. I am ready to move out of my job as a night shift LTC nurse but I'm not sure what the next nursing job that would be best for me with the aim of getting into anesthetist school. What would you suggest? Thank you, Steven
