I am in my late 50's and yes it is difficult but it can be done. I work 3 12 hour shifts per week and have done so since I started the program. For me, I feel as though my life has been on hold especially this year as classes, clinical, working and studying consumes all of my time. I know how much I want to be an NP and that is what keeps me going. Stay focused. You can do it. Many have gone before us and finished successfully. That notion is what has kept me going. I will be starting my last semester the end of August and I can hardly believe it. Hang in there and stay committed if this is what you really want.
