Hello, I am a new CNA and would love to see a copy of your resume if that's alright. Thanks!

What should I expect as a CNA?
Hello! I am going to take a semester long CNA course Fall 2012 so I can gain some hospital experience before I graduate from college as an RN. What should I expect once I become a CNA? Any tips on how to make the most of being a CNA and how to stay positive? Thanks!

Questions about CNA classes...
Thank you!! Would you suggest starting a CNA program right away (while I'm at the beginning of my pre-reqs?)

Questions about CNA classes...
Hi everyone! I am a pre nursing major in college right now. I just started my pre-reqs this week so I've got a long ways to go until nursing school. I've heard of people who take CNA classes and then they work as a CNA before going to nursing school because it looks good on your transcripts. Is this something I should consider doing while my schedule is so light? If so, where can you take classes? I live in Las Vegas, Nevada (and go to Nevada State College) and I wasn't sure if you could get certified in college or if there was a private course you take off campus? I would appreciate any help! Thanks

2.0 GPA...help!
Well, my school lets students retake classes and then just counts the better grade toward your GPA. Do most schools do this?

2.0 GPA...help!
OHMYGOSH! That helped me so much I just calculated my GPA and if I make all B's next semester I will almost be at a 3.0!!! (of course I am going to try to make all A's anyway.)

2.0 GPA...help!
I went to college 3 years ago and had a 2.0 GPA. I only had 11 credits and was told by my new college that none of the credits would transfer over because I needed at least 12. Well, I talked to my academic advisor today and apparently my credits DID transfer over and so did my old HORRIBLE GPA of 2.0 ugh! I am starting my pre-reqs May 14th and I'm really stressed now that it's going to be impossible for me to get my GPA up to at least a 3.5 by the time I fill out an app for the nursing program...I am SO determined to be a great student this time around but it's hard to be optimistic when you're starting school with a 2.0 GPA. Any advice??

Tattoos/dreadlocks??
All of my tattoos are in spots that can be easily covered up ^_^ YOU'RE SUCH A HELPFUL PERSON!!

Work and school?
Okay, thank you! I appreciate it :) Do you know how early a pre nursing student should apply to the nursing program?

Tattoos/dreadlocks??
I love tattoos and think that they are a great way of expressing yourself. I have tattoos and plan on getting more in the future. My question is, are tattoos okay to have as long as they are covered up? I also have dreadlocks. They are clean, tidy and can be pulled out of my face easily. Are dreadlocks acceptable in the nursing field? I would appreciate any advice, thanks :)

Work and school?
Thank you! I am very motivated :) I guess I'm just worried about "study time." I hear that nursing school requires A LOT of studying, which I'm okay with...I just don't want it to consume to my life because I've got sooo many other things going on.

Work and school?
I start my pre-reqs May 14th and I am so stoked!! I work part-time and my boss is so flexible that I know I shouldn't be worried but... I am! I was wondering how hard it is to balance school and work and a social life (or lack of?) I HAVE to work because I have bills to pay and I would like to start paying off my fin aid as quickly as possible...so, not having a job is out of the question. I would appreciate any advice :)

Starting my prerequisites in May...anyone else?
Hi :) I'm 22 and also staring my pre-reqs May 14th and I am super nervous! I am going to Nevada State College though. I'm also taking 2 classes online because some of my credits didn't transfer over so they should be easy classes. Like you, I am stressed about getting all A's because at my school you need at least a 3.5 GPA to be considered for the nursing program...I think I'm most nervous about Anatomy/Biology because I haven't taken a science class in about 4 years Anyway, I just want you to know that you're not alone! I'm glad to see that there are so many people on this site just starting out like me!! Good luck in all of your endeavors!
