Does anyone know how registering for classes is going to pan out?

@trevisam000 I had 28 points and got in. The interview was a series of "standard" questions. They interviewed every eligible applicant, so about 50 people this round. Good luck :)

Woooooow! @boomertx I can't imagine how you must be feeling. I'm surprised at the low points who were accepted since this applicant pool was so big... and I CANNOT believe you were confronted about an anti- Repub Facebook post! Good thing I don't associate myself with MHS volunteers on my FB page. That's ridiculous and I have RN friends at mdmc who are hard core liberals and are very vocal on FB. That's BS! I really feel for you Thanks for sharing.

Why does it matter what we're currently enrolled in? And how would they know? Just curious....Even with a bach degree from UT, a 4.0 and 96% on the HESI I probably won't have enough points since my current Spring courses don't count. Frustrating...

Yeah I've got a one yr old and 8 yr old...don't want to drive to FW everyday and Baylor is awesome but also pricey. It doesn't matter where you go to NS so I figure why go into that much debt? Two full days of 12 hr clinicals nonstop for 15 months for UTA seems rough especially on top of heavy course load all online. I do mostly everything online now and it is harder because you have to teach it all to yourself and questions take long to get answered.

I spoke to the AP admissions advisor today- they take over 100 each semester. It's A LOT to complete before applying. I'd need 6 more classes before January. That's 6 more than all the other programs I like. No thanks!

Cool! Thank you olddog40 :) Do you have a link you can post to where I can see that info? The website I'm looking at doesn't say anything about 18 months and up top it says "Advanced Placement" and below in smaller font says academic partnership. Are you in the program? And, is it specifically for second degree students? I agree, Baylor is silly expensive. Thnx again.

Can someone please clarify what exactly the "advanced placement" here means. It still takes four semesters to complete, right? With a previous bachelors degree wouldn't advanced placement be a fast-bacc program, like Baylor's which is only 12 months?

Does anyone have words of wisdom in reference to the immunization requirements etc....it's complicated while going through the packet. For example, I had my tb screening at the hospital where I volunteer but now I need a physician's signature? A random nurse did it. Help please! I can't believe a simple mistake on this would disqualify me. Can we use our old medical records from childhood?? Is there a cheap way if getting this all done??

Prhodes92... I'm sorry you're frustrated, but haven't you realized that nursing schools accept applicants on a point system? Not a capability system... I got a 98 in grammar and vocabulary and A&P, a 94 in math. I have a bachelor's degree from the University of TX @ Austin. I have a 4.0 in my sciences. I still don't have enough points yet. Don't be discouraged. It is what it is. You'll find your place :)

Does anyone here know if el centro accepts A&P2 (with lab) from Straighterline? I emailed them asking but still no answer...

Please don't tell me that! I just recently starting looking into TVCC and I really like what I see so far. Do they only have an incoming class every Fall (no Spring)? I'll have 17 points including my upcoming Spring semester but not in time for the Dec deadline- I'll only have 15. They have a very early app deadline unfortunately And what is that computer Pre-Rec? I have a Bach degree but never took anything like that...

That's great to hear because having to get all the support courses done just to be able to apply is killing me. Next semester will be very tough. I better get in lol!! Were you an employee or volunteer? It seems that employees have the advantage. Which seems strange since I GIVE my time to the hospital...all is well that ends well, right?
