what would you do when you are doing the wound dressing on your patient, another patient is keep ringing nurse call bell in the same time. There is no any other staff member somehow. I was asked this questions in my interview, i asked my friends who worked in hospital. Nobody knows for sure. Should I leave the wound open and go to answer the call bell? Should I finish the wound first and answer call bell later? Should I use new dressing set becausee it might have been unsterile ? Please Help...

Hello All, I applied for newly qualified nurse preceptorship programme, for which I got the letter saying candidates will be invited to an assessment centre instead of a standard interview. As I was never before assessed in this way and I have never heard of it, I am really anxious that how can I prepare myself. Can anyone help me please? Thanks for understanding.

You have to do at least 3 month overseas nursing program course. They do not pay now a days, but i know they used to pay in the past. They are not going to pay any more. Even its very hard to get unpaid placement of overseas nursing program. Be well prepared, send them email and letter. You will finally get it, but it is not easy at all.

I worked many countries from developed counties to developing. I found the similar situation no matter whether it is advanced world or just developing countries. It is so true particularly in private sector and particularly when we are new in the hospital/nursing home. started my new job just a month ago and i do not have time to go to toilet. when i said that to manager, she would not excuse me, instead she said why other nurses have time then? its depresing.

Yes we have to score IELTS 7 in each band and minimum of 7 in overall band. The hardest thing is IELTS, Thanks GOD I got it.

first thing is You have to score IELTS 7 in each band , then u have to apply in UK NMC, decision sud make by NMC, gud luck

once i had a similar or worse experience, i was called at 2pm, i was earlier , i was waited there 45 minutes, i was sooooooooo bored sitting in the public area staffs looking at me. Finally, interviewer came and said to follow her, she did not applozise for wasting my time. Finally she said me whether i have certificate third in aged care, I said I have higher qualifications. She said wait a minute, i will go and check your resume. She left the room and came back after another 15 minutes. She brought application form too. she said me to fill up the form and left the room again. After another 20 minutes she came back and asked whether I have finished , she said if so i can go. I really wanted to tell her to go to hell, as she wasted my money, time.

Pay is sooooo low here in UK compared to US and Australia, You may wanna find out that too before coming, if it does not matter,,It would be good.
