I hope you can give me an idea whether I will pursue applying for NMC registration. I finished my BS Nursing degree in the Philippines in 1995 after 4 years in college. But after graduating from school, I managed to get a job in a an electronic company. It was very hard to find a nursing job that time. Although I havent lost interest in my degree, time passed me by and I stayed with the same job for almost 13 years or so.. it paid the bills. In May 2010, I tried applying for a job in the hospital after being laid off work. Luckily I got the job as a ward nurse and now I am working in a Recovery room for almost a year which gave me more than 2 years experience in nursing. My sister now lives in the UK and advised me to apply for NMC registration. She will shoulder all expenses if I can pass it. My question is: with a big gap in my work experience, do i have a chance to get registered or the gap will go against my application? Any help is very much appreciated. Connie
