  1. I'm relieved that I'm not crazy and am not the only one freaking out...lol. I actually only live about 12 miles away from Newport so I'll be coming Sunday morning...it's going to be great to meet you all! :)
  2. Is anyone else beginning to get a knot in the pit of their stomach? I seriously am so worried I'm not going to be ready in all senses of the word for Sunday. I feel like Sunday is when my life is going to change so drastically and I don't know how to handle it! I'm so terrified that I'm going to get there and just embarrass myself, lol. Am I the only one freaking out here?
  3. Hey everyone! I'm so excited to hear from all of you and at least have some reassurance that I won't be the only one going to ODS in Sept. I graduated with my BSN from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston and was commissioned in May. Less than a month now...Sept 9th is coming fast! I don't know about all of you but I'm a little bit terrified, haha. How are you all preparing?
  4. Hi Devon! That's great about ODS in September...we'll be going together! Was 29 Palms on your duty preference sheet or did you just get assigned there? Where would you have liked to have gone? Don't worry about being the only one...you're going to do great and have tons of support!!! -Alex
  5. I would say that going straight to get your BSN would be the wisest choice...after a couple of clinicals are under your belt you can work as a CNA while still going to school. Usually this is about 2 years in. Plus, once you get out and take the NCLEX...BAM! You're a RN. I just took the NCLEX a couple of weeks ago and passed...it feels so good to be a registered nurse...it's a tough program and it won't be easy, but trust me, it's going to be so worth it! Now go on...go get that BSN!!! :)
  6. Hi Everyone! My name is Alex and I am a newly-commissioned Navy nurse being assigned to Camp Lejeune in October after I complete Officer Development School. It seems as though all of the other Navy Nurse Candidate Program 2012 grads are hiding...as there are no threads connecting any of us! Let's fix this! :)
  7. Hello! I'm also a NCP grad and just spoke with LC Gomez this morning...I'm officially going to ODS on September 9th and then onto Camp Lejeune! It's so nice to read such positive things about the base! :)
  8. Hi Everyone! I took the test today and the computer shut off at 81 questions...and I'm getting a good pop-up....does that mean the dragon is dead!?!?!?!?!
  9. Hi Everyone! I've been checking this site pretty much everyday for the past few months in order to keep myself sane through getting through to graduation and now on to take the biggest test of my life.... Writing this helps to collect my thoughts about what I'm going to face tomorrow...I feel as though I'm getting ready to slay a killer dragon or something. Except this particular dragon doesn't breathe fire....it breathes failure. Hopefully I'll be able to cut the head off of that sucker before it gets me. I've been using Kaplan to review and have been doing sort of okay on the Qbank and Question Trainers....below are my scores... Qbank: Average of 60% with 100% completed. QT1: 64% QT2: 65% QT3: 47% (Watching TV during that one....ugh....bad move.) QT4: 59% QT5: 59% QT6: 65% QT7: 68% What do you guys think? Will the dragon eat me alive?
  10. Hi Aaron! I'm in the NCP program too and am also graduating in May! I listed Bethesda and San Diego as my first and second choices but unfortunately LCDR Gomez told me those were all filled up. I got my third choice at Camp Lejeune. I'm really excited but so nervous! Where are you thinking about requesting since the Big Three are all booked up? -Alex
