  1. yeah, Ball is a good place to work I've heard! I had clinicals there my last semester and I really liked it :-)
  2. Yeah, I really like it!! The pay is really nice and the unit managers and DON are awesome! We have a couple girls from Marion, and even one from Gas City that work there :-)
  3. Oh no :-( I was thinking the summer was only a transition lab unless you have been out longer than 2 years. but my class took mental health and i know they have added that and removed it from the LPN program a few times. They also broke up our pharm into an intro and advanced class. I hope it all goes well for you! I know I had to quit my job last year for my summer LPN schedule...3 lecture days and 2 clinical 12hr days..yikes! it was awful, but we all made it through and passed! our teachers were very understanding. good thing you've saved up some, that will help. I understand about buying a house..we are looking for one now. I hate renting..just throwing away money. Keep me updated, I'll be praying things work out well for you! :-)
  4. Thank you again! sorry you had to wait a little longer than you expected..but at least you're in and start soon :)
  5. that's good it's a lot closer for you! I live right off 69 in Muncie so Marion isn't too far from me. I agree- I wish we didn't have to go back to school..it sure is a drag! LPN school took a lot out of me, it was a year of non stop studying. Good luck in orientation & can't wait to hear from you :)
  6. my TEAS expired in March I made the cut off to apply but since I didn't get in, I'll have to retake it. but I will definitely retake anatomy and get an A and I will more than likely retake psych as well! Thanks :) wish we were in class together..lol but good luck & you'll have to let me know how you like it/how hard it is!
  7. I know! that's what I was thinking :-( maybe a spot will open up somewhere, like it did for the LPN program... *fingers crossed*
  8. yeah, I was hoping my TEAS would help my score because I had a C in Anatomy 2, a B in psych and As in English and Anatomy 1. I was signed up to retake anatomy 2 for January '12 but got an offer for the LPN program and of course took it! I only applied to one region because one of my teachers said everyone that applies to the transition almost always gets in--so I didn't worry! obviously she was wrong -.-
  9. ahh, I just saw this..at least you are in the program now & will be a RN soon :) do you know if they will have the Spring transition starting this January 2014? I live in Muncie and I was really hoping to start in January rather than next May when my region offers it -.-
  10. Thank you! I just ordered a study guide for the TEAS as I am determined to do even better this time around :-) I had an 80 last time.. I aim to go back within the 2 years for the same reason! Hopefully it will be a little easier since you are already a nurse and have some background/experience. I'm sure the year will fly by and you will be a RN before you know it :)
