Seattle University BSN applicants 2012
What's schools are you applying to? I heard my friend who is currently a nursing student at SU told me that we were not likely to get off the waitlist once May was over because they basically called and admitted enough amount of waitlisted students for nursing school. Sometimes we would be called and offered a spot in July, but it rarely occurs unless someone decline the offer. I think all waitlisted students wouldn't declined the offer once they sent the waitlisted card and have been waiting for months. I am kinda given up too, I am working on some other classes. ?

No. I haven't called them yet. How's about you? I sent them an email before to ask whether or not they were done calling students for offering the spot, they wouldn't answer my question instead they just said if we are offered a spot, we should receive a call and and an email for that. Otherwise, we would receive a denied letter. I want to ask them many questions but they seem not straightly answer them.

I haven't heard anything either. Due to what you said, we should find out whether we would get off the list by this week. So I assumed we will receive a letter instead of a call or email because today is Saturday, this week was over. I feel so sad coz I already tried my best.

Has anyone else gotten off the waitlist?

Admissions told me the College of Nursing is considering offering the acceptance to a very limited number of waitlisted students. If we are the ones of the students, we should receive both call and email. If not, we would receive a letter says the program is full. I guess we won't get off the wait list if we don't receive anything today.

I sent an email to ask how far down I was on the waitlist, but no reply. I am wondering it would be nicer if I know my number on the list.

Missjohnson- what will you do next? Do you accept the waitlist invitation from SU or not? Do you get anything from wsu? Will you attend wsu if you are admitted? Good luck!

Lovedogs31- I know SPU also has a very great program, but SU is my first choice. I am still waiting for an opening spot even thought I was on the wait list. I am also hoping a spot at SPU as well, but I don't know what to do if I am luckily admitted to SPU, though. I asked the SU admissions office when I will hear back on the final decision. They said the staff will consider the waitlisted students sometime in June. But admitted students must deposit an amount of money by May 1st to confirm they will attend the program (I don't know how it works for SPU). Do you have any idea?

Lovedogs31- I havent heard anything from SPU yet. I think you have a good chance to get in off the waitlist of SPU since you are the second. As people said SU and SPU seem to choose applicants who UW also wants to choose.

Hi Pleasant P. I only applied to SU and SPU this year. SU is my first choice. I wish and pray I could get in this year. I read your thread and knew you also applied to UW. I wish you will get in UW.

Hi Pleasant P. My overall GPA is approximately 3.9, prereg GPA is 3.85. I have CNA license but have not used it. By the time I applied to SU, I had only 132 hours of experience at nursing home. That's all. Even thought I was waitlisted, I think I may not get in because so many applicants were in the waitlist who are more eligible than me, though!

Hi Pleasant P. I was wondering about your rejection as well. You have a very high prereg gpa 3.9, how's about the overall GPA? You also have a CNA license. Do you have any volunteer experience? I think you should get acceptance or at least waitlist in stead of rejection. Feel so sorry to you and others. I understand your feeling. I have the same feeling as you guys. We need to stay motivated. Dont give up!

Congrats to every one who got in. I was waitlisted as well. Feel so disappointed. I don't know how many people are in the waitlist. Maybe I won't get in this year

Margritamix- you were not even wait listed last year? Did they tell you why you got the rejection? I haven't gotten anything today either. Do you know how many people will be in the waitlist last year? And would you mind to tell us your GPA volunteer experience?
