  1. I haven't received any other correspondence. I'm patiently waiting. I'm curious of the class schedule and what semester we'll actually start clinicals. Do you know of any other accepted nursing students in our class? I'm shocked that we haven't come across more on allnurses.
  2. The CNA course that I'm taking- my job, CMC, is reimbursing me for that and will reimburse for the recert as well. Is that your question?
  3. Hi Laurie, I just checked on CPR classes thru Carolinas College of Health Science. For CPR renewal the class is $57 and that includes a book and for the regular cpr class, it's $60 with the book. Renewal dates are: 4/25 & 5/16 from 4:00-7:00. The full course dates are: 4/11 & 4/28 & 5/12 & 5/26 from 8:00-1:00. The classes are located at the Community Training Center. The address is 1200 Blythe Boulevard Charlotte, NC 28203 & the phone number is 704-355-5699.
  4. I'm already cpr certified since I'm a respiratory therapist....we have to get recertified every 2 years. Do you work at a hospital? If so, typically hospitals have education reimbursement or either give free cpr classes to employees....I know CMC does. I didn't realize it cost that much either. I'll ask around; I go back to work tomorrow.
  5. Thanks for the info!! I'm ready to get my class schedule as well, so I'll know how to plan my life! LOL
  6. Hello...just looking to meet more SCC nursing students!!! I know it has to be more than the two I've recently come across on here! :))) Looking forward to classes starting in the fall.
  7. I may go part-time, not sure yet...i currently self-schedule & work 3, 12 hour shifts. I'll see how the 1st semester goes.I guess we'll find out the details sooner than later.
  8. No, I'm not sure of what facilities are used for clinicals...hopefully some will be in Charlotte being that's where I live! LOL I'm not sure of the classroom location either, but I did hear that all the lectures are recorded and students have the option of coming to class....hopefully, that's true because that will allow me to continue working...hopefully someone else will provide some insight. Where do you live?
  9. Thanks for sharing that wealth of knowledge! I can tell that you are an extraordinary nurse!
  10. Yaaaay, Congrats to you as well! I didn't see the NC Nursing Program forum that the moderator mentioned.
  11. I'm sorry, I meant to say that I received mine on Saturday as well.
  12. Yaaaaaayyy! I received mine on friday! I noticed that not many students from SCC are on allnurses.com. Interested in getting to know other students that were accepted. Congrats to you.....looking forward to getting to know you and other fellow classmates. Do you know when classes start; I'm assuming some time in August.
  13. It's OFFCIAL, I got my acceptance letter into SCC today!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY, I'm really excited! Did anyone else receive their letter?
  14. The two items that they need from me are: medical form, CPR certification, and CNA cert.
