April 2012 Nclex takers !! Let's support each other!!
I trained in Kenya & came for graduate studies here last fall. I took the test last Wed and I passed at 75 and the only helpful resources I used was a free Kaplan NCLEX question apple app and a $23 book someone recommended on this site :Kaplan NCLEX-RN 2011-2012:Strategies, Practice, and Review which took me only one week to go through. For me the test was fascinating! Don't be scared, do the practice test and review everything painstakingly, even what you get right and you will enjoy the test (although doing almost 30 SATA was not a thrill). Trust in God eases a lot of anxiety too. Good luck April test takers!

Pearsonvue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 3

Pearsonvue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 3
I trained in Kenya and I Just took it today -NCLEX RN, stopped at 75, Pearson indicates "delivery successful"...how do I try the trick when I can't even enter the details concerning the program where I trained. Every time I try entering the program number, I get a pop up that nothing matched my search criteria. I am in suspense.

After below the knee amputation?
@Futurern34, thanks for the timely and very helpful response. I have just noted the thread is correct (it specifies for above knee, elevate with pillow & below knee raise foot of bed). Your observation on myelogram is critical...because I have also come across a source talking of flat position after air contrast. Do you have an idea why in the thread they advocate use of Neostigmine/Atropine (anticholinergic) to reverse effect of pancuronium. Atropine makes sense but I think neostigmine is an anticholinesterase and thus would potentiate pancuronium.

After below the knee amputation?
Kaplan 2011-2012 CD argues that after below the knee amputation, the stump should be elevated by raising the foot of the bed postoperatively during the first 24hours. In the NCLEX rn thread that I downloaded from this site, the argument is the foot of bed shouldn't be raised during the first 24hrs but rather a pillow should be used to elevate the stump. What is what now? Thanks in advance for the help
