  1. Helarious!!! I was trying to wipe the bug off my computer screen!!!. One of the best avatars I have seen in a very long time. I love it!!!
  2. Hi dreamingofbeing, were you in a medical fellowship or a nursing fellowship. I am looking for any information that I can regarding the nursing program if they have one for new grads Thanks
  3. Hi new excited nurse!!! I am about to graduate and was wondering if you ever received the position at Mercy. I really would like to know if they offer a new graduate nurse residency or internship program, what the name of the program is, and if you have a direct link to the webpage that details the program. i have been unable to find any information on a nurse program there. All I have found are programs for medical students. Any information that you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
  4. Hello, Is there anyone out there in St. Louis, Missouri that can tell me if Mercy St. Louis (formerly St. John's Mercy) has a new graduate nurse internship program? I need to know what the name of the program is and if possible the direct link to the webpage that describes the program. I have yet to find any information regarding nursing internships at Mercy, rather all I am finding are medical residency programs and fellowships. Please help me with this if you have any information. It will be very much appreciated. If you would happen to have a direct name and email contact info that would be wonderful. Thank you so much.
  5. Hi all, Does anyone know the webpage address for a complete list of recruiters for all departments within Mercy Hospital St. Louis? I spoke to someone there and they informed me that it could be located on the site. However, after an hour searching...i figured I should probably ask for some help here. I am looking to get a list of names/email/department/title. Thank you to anyone that can locate this information. I would be very appreciative.
  6. Thank you for the advice on steps to take in the hiring process. I for one am finding it hard to obtain the Nurse Managers names, titles and email addresses in order to contact them. Any advice on how to search the hospital sites for this information or to get the receptionist to release they "golden" information? Thank you
  7. Love the "total dumbass" comment....def gonna use that one!! LOL
  8. THANK YOU MATTHEWRN03!!! That was extremely nice of you. I for appreciate that. I am a BSN student soon to graduate and wanting an ICU position. I just hope and pray that the ICU nurse managers in my area, feel as you do.
  9. Yes, the icufaqs site is fantastic. I have to say that i wish I were among you all that say you started out in an ICU. Where I am from, it is not easy to get into an ICU as a new grad. Any advice on what will sell me to the Nurse Manager/recruiter and make them want me over all others? I would really appreciate it. Thanks
  10. WOW, thanks so much, this is great!!!
  11. Thanks for the great advice on study tools
  12. Thank you for the confidence in new nurses. I have to agree that as a nursing student doing clinicals at the hospital, I do not see exactly where working on a med/surg floor would prepare me for a position in ICU. They are two different birds as it appears to me. But, I am only a student....could be missing something
  13. Thanks for the great advice and prep
  14. IheartICUnursing....good for you. I love your dedication and caring
  15. I agree, it seems that hospitals have different views on who is qualified for ICU these days. Some take new grads with NO experience, while others MUST have experience or they simply are looked over. How is this?
