  1. Friends of mine that graduated from MCC Nursing program got hired in at St. John as new grads.
  2. If anyone is on here that DIDN'T take Pharm yet and is taking it in the fall I am looking to sell my books that I have for it :)
  3. Getting a C is absolutely horrible and many have good reason to complain! In my program a C is a FAIL! We must have at least an 80% (B-) in order to even pass the class.....so maybe these people are in the same situation :) Also like many people have wrote, in order to get into the grad program I am looking into we must have AT LEAST a 3.5 minimum G.P.A to even apply.
  4. Application sent! Good luck everyone
  5. Pharm went well today :) Lots of note taking! Was just wondering if anyone else has applied or will be applying for any scholarships and which ones? I just completed the application on HRSA.gov and find out in September whether I am approved! I also plan on applying to some of the scholarships under the Phi Theta Kappa website and some of the ones at OaklandCC... Need all the help I can get now that they put a limit on the amount of years the Pell Grant is available! :)
  6. you ARE allowed to do it if you go directly to the staff and have them sign a course override form and then turn it into the office....it is not recommended but I managed an A in both of them....but I HAD to take them both in order to apply to the program by December...without an A it wasn't possible in my eyes to make it...so I managed and came out with an A
  7. No I didn't I was finally able to find the list of everything needed :) Good luck to everyone
  8. WEll it is managable...but thats all up to you...I took Anatomy 1, anatomy 2, chemistry AND gov't the semester I was applying and got all A's except in chem I got a B but that doesnt count towards GPA anyway. I guess its all up to the person and the motivation that they have to work towards their goal. Whatever your decision good luck!
  9. Did you have your titers drawn? Most of the immunizations that are required, are the ones that we got as children so you should not need them again.....I did not have to get any vaccinations done at all, they drew my blood and charted from there....
  10. Yes! We have a trip booked for FL in August :) 7 days of sunshine and palm trees! We have the whole family going too, my finace, our kids, my niece, my dad and his gf so it should be a great time! :)
  11. Well if those are the only two classes that you don't have an A in then you could always take them both in the fall or summer and still apply in time.
  12. That is wonderful so much closer to home :)
  13. lol Don't worry you are good. I turned in the physical along with all the paper work that they sent in the big packet that was sent out. I had it all done so I just wanted to get it there before it got lost, which most of my paper does with my fiance in the house :) It isn't actually due until August though. I also wanted to go to make sure my BLS was usable before wasting time completing another course. And I have not done anything with the ACE thing yet. She said that people that don't drop all that info. off, the physical, along with all that other paperwork, are welcome to bring and turn in at orientation. :)
  14. Oh and the Micro class does expire but its a 5 year time limit so your good. I would also suggest that you head to the highland lakes campus and talk to a counselor there about the program, and not anyone at the other campus because so much false information has been given out in the past.
  15. I'm not sure what the test will be like.....As for the points...I was going to try and apply at Baker and they do the point system also....Diff. criteria meant diff. points...Like a retake took 1 pt off the score..but a transfer took 2 points away per class transferred..they also had a limit on the number of transfer that were able to come in. Since they are implementing this in the following year and NOT next, and you have all the classes required, I suggest that you take summer classes for anatomy 1 and take anatomy 2 in the fall and then you can still apply by December and not go by the new criteria. Summer classes start soon so I would get on it. Good Luck
