  1. Hi I am from Florida and currently looking at moving to WV. I am finishing my prerequisites down here for nursing school but going to be applying up there. My fiancé is in Parkersburg so I am interested in the WVU Parkersburg program. I am wondering if someone could help me understand what exactly the prerequisites are to apply for the ADN program there. Thank you!!!
  2. I think I found a professor to go with for Chem. I am going to have to cut back on hours at work or completely quit my job but that is the price I have to pay in order to further my career. I have worked full time and tried to take night classes for so long now but I am not the kind of person that can fully concentrate on the tougher classes like Chem and Micro while maintaining a full time job. Definitely let me know how Micro goes for you. I will be taking it in fall and using that to apply for Spring semester but I guess I won't actually have the points for Micro until application season for Summer. It gets so confusing unless you really write it all out on a timeline. When do you think a good time to take the NAT would be?
  3. I took Chem a couple of years ago but it was a major fail. I had the worse professor I have ever experienced before in all my years of ever being in school. I am hoping to get a better teacher this go around because I really do enjoy the subject. Did you do your CNA with FCCJ/FSCJ? I was wondering how their program worked and if I could take the classes for that while finishin my pre reqs. I have worked around Baptist Medical Center for a long time now but all of there ACP positions require the CNA certification. I definitely don't think I could work full time while in the program but I think some PRN work in that field would be helpful. I would love to have a study partner!! When are you planning on taking Micro? I study better with groups too, great motivation to be around people going through the same thing too.
  4. I am also taking Sociology this term. I still have to take Chem over the summer before I can take Micro. Did you have a good Chem professor that you could recommend? I will probably apply without being finished with Micro also in the fall but we know that is a long shot without those points. Have you ever thought about becoming a CNA and working as one before and/or during the program? I have been thinking about it a lot and have received mixed reviews over it. I have working in the health care field for 7 years now but it has all been clerical work. Look forward to talking more and hopefully working together in the Spring!
  5. Hi. I am also a spring 2013 hopeful. I am currently finishing my prerequisites with Sociology, Human Growth and Development, Chemistry, and of course Microbiology. It seems so far away to think we have to wait an entire year to apply for the program. Does anyone have any good pointers for the NAT test? Just reading everyone's posts is making me nervous to take it.
