  1. I want to apply to the BSN to DNP program as well. The site says that it is a combination of in person and online classes. I currently live 8 hours from campus. Do you know if these are just visits, or full in person classes?

  3. I am applying for my Masters in Forensic Nursing. Does anyone have experience in the Duquesne or Texas A&M Program? I am undecided in where to apply.
  4. I was JUST about to send you a message! Yay!! My husband is a Houston FF, so I've been trying to help with the tragedy today. I'm on a roller-coaster of emotion, but I finally have one less thing to worry about.
  5. I received an email yesterday (a response to mine) and the goal is to accept 40 students this year. That made me feel a lot better!
  6. I have been an LVN for 7 years. I recently applied, and was denied, for a spot in the Texas A&M BSN program. I have a 4.0 overall, all of my BSN prereqs, and a decent HESI score. The decision was devastating. I live so far away from most BSN programs, so I applied to Lonestar Kingwood for their transition program. The deadline was May 24th, and the wait is already driving me crazy. I have posted about this before, but it seems that there aren't many hopefuls out there going crazy with me.
  7. I haven't heard. Only 10 stresses me out, a lot!
  8. Great scores! Did you do your LVN program through Lonestar also?
  9. Good luck to you as well! I've been told that the transition program isn't as competitive. Hopefully we will both make it in. I will let you know when I hear something.
  10. Thank you! Fortunately I already had titers drawn last year at work, so that is one less thing I have to worry about. I wish I could find other Kingwood transition hopefuls. Thanks again for responding.
  11. I attended an information session last week. The Quest program only admits once per year. I believe they just started this year. I'm not sure of the cutoff score. I have a 4.0 cumulative, a 4.0 science, but only an 11.6 on the score sheet. I made a 90 on my English composite section of the HESI, but it dropped me down quite a bit.
  12. Hi! I am applying to the transition program at Kingwood, too. I am waiting for my pharmacology grade to post so that I can officially apply. I will be pushing the deadline, but I have everything completed. Good luck to you!
  13. I am applying to the transition program, but I'm afraid I'm missing something. I have all of my paperwork done, but I have to wait until the end of the semester for my pharmacology grade to officially submit my application. I am going to an information session on May 1st, but I haven't started the process for my vaccinations at all. I need advice! I definitely don't want to miss this application deadline, but I am afraid I've waited too long on the vaccinations. I don't even know where to start and I only have until may 24th.
  14. I applied to Texas A&M HSC.
  15. So I still haven't heard anything or gotten an a acceptance/rejection letter! We were supposed to know "by April 15", but nothing. I'm so anxious. I haven't found anyone on here that applied to the same school, so it's just me and my anxiety with no one to compare it to! I'm hoping that no news is good news, but I'm starting to lose hope. Congrats to everyone who has found out.
  16. I feel your pain!! We are supposed to find out by April 15th. The wait is torturous.
  17. Hopefully you were able to get all of your application information entered. I applied as well, and it was extremely stressful. Waiting on acceptance is even worse!!
  18. Hi! I have also applied to Texas A&M HSC for 2013. I am (impatiently) awaiting acceptance. Have you heard anything?
  19. I am currently an LVN working in a small town ER. I've been an LVN for quite some time, and I'm trying to get into UTA's BSN program. I still have a few prereqs to finish, but I'm having a VERY difficult time getting information from an advisor. I'm getting really frustrated and feeling quite anxious. Does anyone have any advice on how to get started in order to make the transition go a little more smoothly? (I have filled out my application, etc.) I was directed to one advisor that was very adamant that UTA does not have an LVN-BSN bridge program. Even after saying (4 times) that I completely understand and that I am interested in the BSN program... I still get the same response. "UTA does not offer an LVN to RN bridge program." Thanks in advance.
