  1. MU is a wonderful hospital to work at. (pardon the grammer) I moved there from St. Louis in 1982 after my son was born because they offered an excellerated pay program where you could work weekends only, 12 hour shifts and get paid at time and 1/2. No benefits, but my husband had those thru his job. Another wonderful thing was that on the alternate weekends my husband worked and I did too, we were able to use the onsite daycare center for my son. He really loved going to "school" while I was at work. During the week, I was there for him. We even had a nurse that came down on weekends from Iowa just for this schedule. She shared an apartment on weekends with another nurse. Now THAT's commuting!!
  2. Boy, I must be old...I sure don't remember having to take that...I have heard of it though...is this something relatively new? I graduated in 1976.
