Ohio State FNP 2018
Hi! I also applied OSU traditional FNP online, part-time, program for Fall 2018. I applied at 2016 and didn't get in because I didn't have BSN (Very disappointed at myself) but I still hope I can get in. FNP was my goal. If I got denied again, I might try other schools. I prefer OSU because I like their philosophy. :) Thanks for starting the thread.

Ohio State Traditional Masters
I applied, no internet interview received. Anyone hear anything yet? Seems like last year around this time, applicants already found out their results. The waiting is killing me~~~~

Dumb things new nurses do....
This happened to me when I was a student nurse. I was giving Lovenox SQ shot to a very skinny pt. I raised the bed and cleaned the skin good at the site with alcohol, slightly got a hold of her tissue, gave the shot and......Lovenox spread out like a fountain ??? my instructor was MAD. I should grab the "fat" hard. Had to request a new dose. Live and learn. Got 0.9NS shower x 2, forgot to unclamp ATB IVPB X2, burst the green top morphine vial X1.......in my two months of nursing career. Thanks for sharing stories. Makes me feel a lot better as a new RN.

Mind games with current manager
Thanks, Ruby. I would love to write in Chinese, if most of you can understand. I apologize for my unorganized writing. It, however, does reflect my thoughts. I really don't know what to think. I don't like her but I like all the nurses there. It will be a easier start for me since I know a lot about our unit and pts. Siince I have the license now, I can go anywhere I want.

Mind games with current manager
Thanks for your advice. I guess from history, I just don't trust her. I don't understand why she can't tell me if I am hired or not. She is just so fake, in my face, she always said what a good job I have done but turn around she can't even tell me she does or does not want to keep me.

Weird question about poo....
I proudly tell people that I change people's diapers from NB to age 102, any number in between, I change someone at least once already. Ha~~~

Mind games with current manager
I work at current unit for 4 years. Before I obtained my RN license. I went in and had interview with my manager. After I received my RN license number, I told my manager. She congrated me and said she will let HR know I passed. Then, she went ahead and asked me if I applied any where else. She even advised me to apply more places. I am not smart this way, I become speechless and don't know what to say to her because I can't figure out what does she mean, am I hired??? During the interview, I told her I would like to work as a day shift RN. I worked at nights when I first started, my body just can't take it. She knows. Four days before I went in for my NCLEX, she offered a new hired night shift RN (new grad also, still in orientation) a day shift position. ??? I knew it because I worked that day also. I was interviewed on the 4th, didn't take my NCLEX till the 28th. On the 7th, a night shift tech who just become a RN, asked her if there is any opening on the floor, instead of telling her there is no opening, she told her I was already interviewed for the job. So, my manager helped building me an enemy, while I didn't tell any one that I went interviewed. I really don't know what to do now. What game is she playing with me? Two years ago, a tech become a new RN, our manager didn't keep her. She went for 5 interviews and shadowed twice, then she found out our manager was the one who tred to block her to get jobs on other unit. Gee....I am really worry that history will repeat again on me. I need advice, please. Thanks in advance. I phoned her and set up a time to meet her on Monday. How should I face her? I found it hard to put on a smile. Gee......
