My status is "committe ready", (I have applied to SG campus, too) and I havn't got any call or letter. But I am sure Grey Lady will be calling us next week. So I am keep it positive!

But, yes, their program is very hard. That is the reality of all schools. You will be alright as long as you have good friends to study with. I have many friends who are in nursing program, and they do comment from time to time that it is hard, but in the end, if you are desciplined, then it should be ok. One question, I have for you is: what was your Teas score and GPA? I am just nervous since I have not heard anything yet. And All the best for your school. May be we might even see each other in future!

Yeah, I really did not asked my friend about that, but last year I recieved notice from SFSU University admission first, and then I recieved nursing decision via e-mail. I think we should be getting some kind of package in mail from general addmin soon. Ohh yeah, CSUEB is fast!

Hi Capogirl, I have only applied to SFSU and Nursing school in Binghamton NY. My first choice is New York, b/c my mom lives there, and I want to be close to family. So SFSU is my second choice depending on my husband acceptance to this school. You should definately attend school that will suite you, and I am sure you will get accepted into SDSU. I am still waiting to hear from admissions from both school. Let me know when you get accepted into any of the school! Best Wishes

That is really good score! Congrates, looks like you have shoe-in at SFSU, and city is beautiful, you will miss SoCal, but SF is really beautiful! I moved from New York state and I don't miss it a bit.

Hello Ms. chia, I guess that's true about science. I just did not liked the reading comp. I liked the Science a lot, b/c that is what I studied hard in college. By the way, how did you do on TEAS V verses TEAS IV? Are you applying to SFSU for fall 2012?

Dear Capogirl, It feels good to get hear a reply from FUTURE CLASSMATE and RN!!!! Yeah, I had huge jump from 70.7 to 82.7% on Teas V, but GPA is just slightly higher from 3.86 to 3.89. Last year, one of my friend got accepted into the SFSU with 83% on Teas V with GPA of 3.8 or so. Capogirl, you have very good stats!!! 4.0s and 82% on TEAS with Volunteer experience... you have shoe in the program, as far as I can estimate from last year experience. I also realize that this year our applicant pool can be different! I also looked at my TEAS V report and average score that other candidates received for program was 74%. I am very sure we have shoe INNNN! Do not take my word for word. I just really want to be positive this yearand learn from my past mistakes (last year I did not believe in my dream or thought that I was not going to get in, and thats exactly what happened). Everyday, I believe that I am in program. I reheorifice this everyday... instead of saying...I think I will get in this year....now I say... I KNOW I AM IN THE PROGRAM FOR SURE!!! It's this trick that I learned from book called "Secret"! Really, act like you are in the program, and think like that, and soon it will happen for true. Best Wishes, One of Your Future Classmate!

I am starting new thread to get to know others who are in same boat as I. I am applying at SFSU for Fall 2012 BSN on Campus. I am eagerly waiting to know decision from school, but so far I have not heard anything. I am very nervous b/c I am applying second time with not impressive TEAS V score of 82.7%. I was on waiting list last year on #69. Is anybody else applying to SFSU? Hope to hear from more SFSU Nursing admission Hopefuls!

hi capogirl and hpflnrsingstdnt: looks like we all are in same boat. i am applying at sfsu for fall 2012. it's strange that we all three have nearly common scores!!! overall gpa: 3.89 prerequisite: 4.0 teas v: 82.7 (hey, i ran out of time on reading, too :) bilingual and volunteer experience. man i am looking at calender every hour, but time is not going any fast, and i haven't heard anything from school yet. i wish the best to both of you, may be we all will end up same place. let's keep it positive.

I am applying for Fall 2012 Traditional program at Decker school of Nursing. I still have not heard anything about decisions. Did anyone got accepted, yet or recieved any letter?

To be honest, this TEAS test does not really measure your knowledge of how good of a nursing student you are going to be, but how good you can take this test. I did not like this test, and felt like it did not do justice to my knowledge that I acquired through pre-requisite course work. For example, questions about advertisement and looking up phone #s in directory. I do have to say though, it inspired me to learn grammer!!! You have good chance to get into school, if not... then waitlist for sure! b/c I was on waitlist last year with score of 70.7 & 3.89 GPA at SFSU! I am applying this year again...

Congrates girl. I took it twice, too! and my second score was 82.7! Hopefully it will be enough to get into SFSU!

At SFSU, they look at your overall score. Let say you scored 70 on your TEAS, which is proficient. and other candidate scored 76, which is also proficient. School will look at the actual score instead of category. What school are you applying for? I am applying to SFSU. Be strong, it also depend on applicant pool.

You have very good chance! As far as I know, SFSU do put lots of emphasis on TEAS score. Last year I applied, and due to my low TEAS score, I was put on waiting list despite of my good GPA. If you don't mind me asking what is your score on TEAS?
