  1. Hello all I am a new graduate adult-gero NP and it has been 6 months since I started working as LTC NP. With my current company, I am EXPECTED to do initial H&P, to do follow-up visits, and also to discharge patients. Approx 4 months after I started working, one of the SNF stated I am NOT allowed to do any H&P because it is against California State MEDICARE regulation. So I discussed this issue with our regional medical director (MD) and my manager (NP), and they told me it is actually AGAINST Medicare guideline if I do it by myself. They stopped me doing H&P only at that SNF but still told me to do H&P at the other nursing homes. they also told me it should be still fine to do H&P at the other SNFs as long as physician co-sign it and saying they agree with my note. is this true? Does anyone hear about the regulation? I will greatly appreciate if you can share your knowledge with me. Thank you
  2. Thank you so much Erica for your support! I have been quite depressed after I found out I am on the wait list. My last hope will be there... Hopefully, I can get into the program... sigh...
  3. @mnmary i only have long-term care experience. I worked at express recovery unit for almost one year and also worked as home health nurse for three months at the same time. But that's it. I dont have any acute hospital experience. But i won several awards while i was going to school...
  4. I received a letter from UCLA that I am the number 1 on the ALTERNATE LIST (aka wait list) for adult/gero primary NP specialty. Do you guys think there would be high chance of me getting into the program? I have only applied to two schools so far and I am quite depressed ryt now...
  5. Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOO much Melindy06 for your reply. I was panicked and cried almost every morning whenever I checked BON... So miserable... Now my hope is there... Thank you so much for your info once again..
  6. 'I took NCLEX-RN, not NCLEX-PN.. So I need to pay $150 more after I get the official result via mail? Wow.. so much money..
  7. Pay $150 dollars for my licence? what do you mean? I paid $200 for NCLEX registration and another $200 when I sent my paper application to BON... Is there any extra that i need to pay?
  8. 'I just called BON and was able to talk to the operator but they kept saying the result will be sent in mail within 3-4 weeks and they are NOT the one who can check the result for me. I don't know what's going on with BON. Now they don't deal with NCLEX result? I am confused...
  9. Hello I took NCLEX last Thursday on 2/2/2012 at 10:15am, and stopped around question 86 I guess. I tried PVT 6 hours after the exam and has been getting good pop-up since then. I have been checking BON everyday but my name is still not on the list... Yesterday, I found someone else who took the exam on the same date and at the same time got her name on BON. Now I see a thread that is saying PVT is unreliable and my anxiety level is getting higher and higher over time. I almost cried this morning... How long do BON usually take before they post our name on their website? Should I email them? or call them? I will wait for your reply.. I am in great despair..
  10. I used NCSBN and it really worked for me. I also used Lippincott questions in the beginning but switched to ncsbn because Lippincott questions were too comprehensive and were not about application of care. I really liked NCSBN because they also provide you the review sessions which were really helpful to me. If you are going to purchase NCSBN course, please finish all the question banks that they have. I bought 3 wk module and finished almost all the questions. I did at least 150 to 200 questions per day for last 2 weeks before I took NCLEX! Good with your studying!
  11. Have you tried ncsbn question bank? I purchased 3 wk course and those questions were really helpful. They also provide review sessions. Good luck with your next test!! :cheers:
  12. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yelclap::yelclap:
  13. I understand how you feel ryt now !!! I just took the test today and think I did horrible on the test. I think I did about 85 questions... I just tried Pearsonvue trick and got the same pop which says exactly same thing!! I am wondering whether I am passed or not. I currently live in CA so I won't be able to know the official result until I receive a mail from BON... IT TRULY SUCKS TO TAKE NCLEX IN CA!!!!!!!!!
