I heard you can contact Admissions and see what improvements you can make to your application to make yourself more competitive in the next round. They do not have notes though from your interview. Try calling them before you submit everything again. GOOD LUCK ALL and thanks again. P.S. I agree, NursingCAS was awful! UGGGHH...

Thanks so much Jollie! I guess I'm just being a tad pessimistic. I figured that when clinicals start, hospitals want immunizations and physical clearances fresh, as in no more than 6 months. At least that's what I remember hearing in our interviews. Although I could be wrong. Unfortunately, WesternU is the only school I applied to this coming term. Still hoping for good news and you make a great point. I have a physical scheduled for next Tuesday and will ask about blood work, etc. Thanks again!

I haven't done any of the pre-matriculation stuff...people recommend getting it done just in case...have any of you guys done it??? I can't imagine them calling up some of the alternates a week before class starts and having to get all of this done!

I agree...I feel like life is at a standstill right now. I'm also applying to other programs, but Western is my FIRST choice. I wonder what our chances as alternates are for next round if things don't go the way we'd like them to go this fall.....I don't know if I should apply to these programs or just re-apply for next year.....decisions.....

I applied to one school and got on the alternate list. I'm applying to two others to "hopefully" have options.

yay! we're still here! I'm an alternate too....and I haven't heard anything back. From reading the threads, I think deposits were due last Wednesday.

@cubanrob: LOL! that is ME, everyday, since January 19th! except now it's just this forum, which helps me keep sane, and my email - still waiting to get off an ALTERNATE list! @jen: I'm surprised they did not consider your master's GPA. what a bummer. most schools take that into consideration. have you tried applying to any other schools? I'm still going to give Concordia a shot for this fall, might as well. keep the faith - if you really want it, it will happen! :)

Hi Everyone! Looks like this is the week for you guys to find out. Would any of you guys mind sharing your stats? I'm curious to see what my chances are of getting an interview. I'm not sure if it was CUI that I read that most people had really high GPA's on their first bachelors. Mine is NOT high at all but I did very well on my pre-requs and sciences. Thanks for sharing! @cubanrob: I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN - wish everyone had the same requirements as well! Would definitely give us more options. I had to run a few of my classes by Henny. It's interesting to see if there are any applicants that they really really liked but couldn't admit this summer, but would roll them over to the next semester, FALL. Have you guys heard anything about that? Do you guys know if they have alternates as well? I'm assuming they do...thanks for everyone's input!

Hi Doulajess, Thanks so much for sharing. I'm applying for the Fall. I've never done a group interview and I'm finding it quite interesting that they asked all those questions and pretty much went around the room for everyone's answers. Did you find that a lot of the answers were repeats? Good luck to everyone that interviewed and hopefully I get invited for an interview! Just a few more weeks for you guys and the wait will be over. I was recently selected as an alternate and my wait will continue on 'til possibly up to the week before classes start! :-/

I have not. I just contacted Western to find out if we have "numbers." But apparently we do not. Each alternate is re-evaluated again if they need more. But we know from this thread alone that there are at least 10 or so (I think).
