  1. Awesome... you totally deserve the vacay.. enjoy it.. before you get back to the grind lol.. Thanks for the update on the interview info.. again I am so happy for you, and soon we will all be together, working through this program. I received all of my financial aid for the year and like I mentioned before, I am taking 6 credits now.. it took a couple weeks for all the paperwork to be completed but the staff is super helpful, and it was done very smoothly. It would be good if I could use PM on this site, but I cannot. Either way keep me updated, and if you have any questions post it up, and maybe I could help..otherwise..Live it up now buddy! lol
  2. Awesome!!! Congrats.. so happy for you.. you worked hard and it showed.. you deserve to celebrate! Its such a great feeling and I know exactly how you feel...again congrats.. i had no doubts you would get in.. How many people interviewed? How long was the interview? Do you know if anyone else was accepted? The staff there is really supportive and great..which is very important and definitely helped me make the decision to attend at OLLMC. I am currently taking informatics and health policy online.. its good...a lot of work, but handleable.. winding down at work, and focusing more on my education and getting as many as these credits knocked out as I can online before clinicals start. Looking forward.. and definitely keep in touch..cannot wait to be future crna's together.
  3. You will do great. I just know it. Just stay relaxed and confident. Good Luck and keep us updated
  4. Thanks Ms. B, I do appreciate it. Just stay focused and confident that you will do well. I will be starting my MSN courses in September so it will decrease my workload later. No matter what happens, just be proud you got to this level, and let your determination take you to the next step. This is only the first step in my CRNA career, as I want to go for more after graduating, but definitely this is the biggest step. I will also be relocating from NYC/NJ area to South Jersey for the program. Thanks again for the congrats..soon you will be in my spot as well.
  5. No problem.. You sound very ready and prepared. I am impressed and sure you will do just fine. Remember, just let them know this is what you want to do and where you want to be. With your preparation and confidence, it will be cake :). Keep positive and utilize your fiance's help as much as possible. But always keep in mind, it is very competitive and there will be very competitive applicants interviewing as well. I will be starting the program in April 2013 .. good luck, keep us updated
  6. Good luck on Sept 13.. Be confident is my best advice. Study ACLS and CCRN stuff and maybe a little chemistry. Know your unit/ types of patients. Dress well and be early. Believe in yourself and like you said..be overprepared. Again good luck..you will do great :)
  7. I too have an interview with Lourdes next week. Although ckh23 has a good point about researching the school, I have heard the Lourdes system and schools are very good, including the CRNA school. It is a Drexel affiliation. I have dealt with going to a private college for my BSN and it was way better of an education than that of my associates degree and previous bachelors at a state school, even with the extra money. As mentioned, we should all be mindful and also think about picking the school which best suits us, and we will be able to assess it more during the interview, but I am definitely looking forward to my interview and attending this school. I am reviewing a lot of CCRN and ACLS info. I deal with it a lot at work, but I want to be as prepared as I can be. Good luck.
  8. Thanks for the response. My application and docs were received the 14th of May, so for now I will hang in there and see if anything arrives in the mail soon. I appreciate it. Maybe I will see you the next interview session. Thanks again.

Looking forward to interviewing, ready to start CRNA school.
  10. Question..how long after you sent your application in did you recieve a reply/ invitation to interview ? ( if your credentials and application were complete of course)..thanks..would like to get in for fall semester if seats are available.
  11. Thanks for the feedback.. The only thing concerning me the most is that organic chem pre req for the 3 schools I would like to also apply to. Even though I would like to take the grad science course, those schools would not check my app due to that lack of organic chem.
  12. Thanks for the advice.. where do you reccomend I take these masters courses or look to take them?
  13. my GRE score = 1000 (combined) as per old version - I will probably retake GRE because I do have the time, and can get a couple more points with some tutoring, its worth a shot. - I was also thinking to take master level courses, although, different schools require different courses..I was thinking of just taking Orgo Chem over the summer online at UNE. It only requires 'intro to chem' as requirement.
  14. Hi, I have been lurking on this site for years, I would really like some input on my crna application goals for the upcoming year. I am looking to apply to ten school in the tri state area (ny,nj,pa). My stats upon time of application are: 3 years CCU, MICU, SICU Full time experience in very acute urban hospital 1 year ICU per diem experience in urban community hospital CCRN (1yr) ADN ( 3.7 gpa) (along with critical care and nursing awards) BSN (3.85 gpa) All sciences- 'A' Never took organic chem/biochem** GRE- 147-Verbal 148-Quant. 4.0 - Analytical ACLS PALS BLS Shadowed CRNA/Anesthesiologists x 1 week My concerns are as follows: Should I take organic chem with my current stats? (I would need to do it online due to work and time constraints) and 7 of the 10 schools do not require it. Is it that important considering my stats? Should I just choose 3 different schools that do not require the organic chem pre req? Should I retake the GRE with my current scores? (I would be able to retake it in June)- Looking to apply in August to all schools. - please any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks..
