Should hospital provide and launder scrubs?
Regarding scrubs, I never had the option to have them laundered at work. Instead of the hamper with other clothes, I place them separately (usually a paper bag). After washing them I run the machine empty with just bleach, if nothing else, at least for my peace of mind that the next load would not be exposed to whatever I may have brought home. The other thing I do is keep a small cardboard box in my car, so that before getting in, I place my work shoes in it and put on regular street shoes to drive. I do the reverse when arriving at work. It's true that street shoes can pick up stuff from all the other places we go, just like being exposed to everything else, but I'm not comfortable wearing them (work shoes) even in my car.

Is this even possible?!
If your schedule allows, maybe you could join an NP professional association and network there

Passed ANCC & AANP...and these are the resources that I would recommend
I have yet a while to go before finishing myself, but this is helpful information to keep in mind. Thanks

St Joseph's College of Maine FNP program students
The upcoming GRE requirement is not the only major change. According to their website, they are no longer accepting new applications for the remainder of 2012 for the MSN-FNP or FNP certificate programs. New applications would be reviewed as of January 2013.

St Joseph's College of Maine FNP program students
Hello All: This is my first time posting although I've been following the threads on this and other topics for a few months, but especially those related to NP topics, as I recently started the St Josephs's NP program. A while back I saw mention of a facebook site started by some who post on this site. Is it still active, and if so what would I find it under? Also, a word of thanks for the regular posters, as many of the issues discussed have been very helpful to me, not just related to this school's NP program but situations that current and future NP's are facing or dealing with.
