  1. What study guide did everyone use to study for the HESI A2. I got a 92% on my math but only an 80% on my English. I need to retake it to bring up my English score. TIA!
  2. I took my HCR 240 through MCC, I really liked the class. I personally don't like RIO.
  3. I took BIO 201 & 202 at Phoenix college as well. I learned so much! I hate RIO.
  4. Hi Dylansmomm, I sent you a message! =)
  5. Did you end up taking BIO 205 at Rio Dylansmomm?? If so, how was it? I might need to since we are military and not in Phoenix at the time.
  6. Wbthomas I completely understand where you are coming from and I too see the program EVENTUALLY switching over to all CEP. But for some of us the only option we have right now is to wait. I myself and a military wife and can afford to wait my time in line. Who knows I might end up finding a program where we are stationed but until I do waiting is my only option. I have already have a degree and have all but 2 of my CEP prerequisites completed and my plan is to go into the CEP once I return to Arizona. But again until that time I am at least on the wait list waiting for my turn.
  7. Being military and trying to go into nursing is extremely hard. I am currently in Cali/San Diego but can't start a program here because they will not accept my classes. They want me to retake my classes, and that just isn't going to happen. Plus we will be moving again next year, so I will not be able to finish the program here. I already have a Bachelors so when it comes to just going to GCU or ASU again that isn't an option for me since I will be paying for this degree out of pocket. The only remaining classes I have to take in order to apply for the CEP are FON 241 and Microbiology. But I too am unable to get back to Arizona to attend an info session on the CEP. So until we are in a place for longer than 2 years I am waiting it out, being military it's what I have to do.
  8. I already have and I am only 2 classes away from being able to apply. But unfortunately I am military and can not come back to Arizona at the time. So until that time I am on the waitlist.
  9. I wanted to make a thread for the new people who just got their time stamps today! Congrats on starting the process. What's next for everyone?
  10. Hey! You said they are changing the pre-reqs for CEP? Any idea to what? I just put in my application for the waitlist and plan on applying for the CEP in due time. My husband is active duty military at the moment so I can afford to wait awhile. I am curious as to what they are changing the CEP pre reqs to.....TIA!
  11. Hi Lsmith! I have looked into SDCC however, with being a mother with a son going to nursing school and not knowing if my husband will be home to watch our son is hard. I am also considering moving with family when my husband goes on deployment next year. The nursing here in SD is more competitive as well. Waiting it out seems like the best thing for me to do with only one car and a son.
  12. Congrats ddmad! :w00t: I am still waiting on my clearance card but then I will be sending in my application for the waitlist! Can't wait. Keep us posted! I would love to know how the program is going!
  13. Phoenix College's online BIO 205 is hybrid, not sure if it was a few semesters ago. Now you have to go in for the lab portion of the class! I wish is was strictly online! Would help me since I am out of state due to military!
  14. The provisional was for the Youngstown campus I don't know how the Toledo campus works. It seems as tho all nursing programs are a pain to get into any more. Good luck with whatever you decide to do =)
  15. Well I got accepted for Fall 2011, provisionally based on me passing my chm and bio classes but my husband joined the Navy and got stationed in San Diego. I now wish that I stayed and completed my classes and started the program. The school changed their program requirements and now I need to take the TEAS and finish up my chm class. But they no longer accept provisional applications and now they are saying my algebra class might be to old. So from the way it looks this school is out of the question for me. I think ALL schools should have more than 1 entry date. Its ridiculous!
  16. Addison are you looking into the Youngstown campus? The also changed the application deadline from Feb 1st to Feb 15th. I strongly feel that they don't have enough students applying so they are changing requirements. Too bad I still can't apply for Fall! =(
  17. Does anyone currently attend the Youngstown campus?
  18. Do you attend the Youngstown or Toledo campus?
  19. I wanted to apply for Fall 2012 but my chemistry is too old. I got accepted for Fall 2011 but could not attend due to my husband being in the military. So I have to reapply and they changed a lot of things. I hae to take the TEAS and now my chem is too old. And now I won't be able to apply for fall because the deadline is Feb 1st. Disappointed.
  20. Wow I'd have to say I am excited they are adding a program that is a little more reasonable than ASU!
  21. Oh no! I don't like the sound of that at all! It's making me think twice about taking it over the 8 weeks in the summer.
  22. I personally just don't like Rio. Honestly, having the exams proctored are a pain, plus I have to pay $35 per exam proctored and that hurts even more. I just finished taking BIO 201 online at Phoenix College and everything was online it was great. I believe I learn way more online because I spend more time with the material than just the lecture time on campus. I am doing BIO 202 as well as Chm 130 online at Phoenix college this semester. Thanks for your response! =)
  23. Hi everyone. I am planning on taking BIO 205 this summer at one of the Community colleges. Since I am a military spouse we are currently in San Diego and I am having a hard time finding strictly an online class. I am planning on taking it in the summer so that my son will be out of school if I have to take a in person class. I do not want to take this class at RIO. So far I have found that Phoenix College offers it online hybrid, with in person labs and Mesa Community College offers it on campus. I suppose I have two questions, first is Micro a class that should be taken in the summer? Or should it be taken in the full semester? Second, who has taken BIO 205 and where? Thanks!!
  24. Does anyone have any idea when the deadline application is for the Fall CEP program? I will be on the waitlist as of this month, so I cannot see when the information sessions even are. I am a military spouse so I am not currently in Arizona but I will be returning once I get accepted into the program. I'm trying to find out if I have time to apply for Fall or should I wait until Spring? I still have FON 241, BIO 202, HCR 240 and BIO 205 to take. I plan on having everything done by the end of summer. Thanks
  25. I took BIO 201 by itself last semester because I knew it would be a LOT of work. And I managed to get an A but just barely. I am taking BIO 202 and CHM 130 online this semester but I also have my husband to help me with the chem so that might be the good part about taking those two classes together. If FON 241 is super easy I may end up taking it in the summer, I don't want to do too much with my science classes. I haven't looked into it, but my main problem is I will be paying for this degree out of my own pocket and I know that ASU can be expensive. That's where my first bachelors is from.
