  1. Hi! How were the clinical rotations set u for each Course? How much notice did you receive prior to your rotations?
  2. @adp My entire Keiser degree was out of pocket because I already have a bachelor's degree. If you do not, the price actually goes down significantly. They offer a lot of grants and some scholarships. Military discounts too.Tuition went up a bit before I graduated. I believe it is a little more than 7k per term. But for me it was worth it. I was accepted while still in a pre req course. Any other campus I would have had to wait until it was completely over to even apply. Which would have given me a Spring start instead of Fall. Keiser core is 16 months as opposed to 24. I saved 1 year. I am going to start working within the next few weeks In my opinion, it was totally worth it ( Also,I definitely enjoyed the small class sizes and the relationship we each were able to have with all of our instructors) I would have lost more money not working for a year than paying Keiser for a year. 40k = a year of working, 14k= a year of keiser This is completely my opinion and what was best for me. I hope you find what is best for you! Good luck!
  3. esc5, check your messages! Kristiann1985- usually m-f8-9am-1-2:30 pm. Each campus is different. But expect to be in school anywhere from 4-6 days a week. good luck! once clinical starts the times may change btw
  4. Hey mingorn, what do you mean by tons of clinical? How many hours?
  5. I think one of the programs is mariposa community college. You do the program online and go there for a week or something to do your clinical rotation. I'm not 100% sure. Hope you find something that works for you!
  6. No they don't. The core nursing is 16 months. Where are you located? There are some online lpn-rn programs. There's one in Tampa, but you'd have to be there for clinical. There are others in different states as well. I've looked them up for a friend, but I don't remember the schools. But if you seach I'm sure you can find what's right for you!
  7. Bump. I'm interested too! I applied for spring!
  8. There's a fb page too! (Can't post ebay listings :-/ ) https://m.facebook.com/pages/boosted_page_like/?pid=163373977188066&__user=100006427249540#!/home.php?__user=100006427249540&soft=side-area
  9. Thanks Murse! If you need any other info feel free to ask!
  10. I am attending the Tallahassee campus.
  11. Murse, I will be done in december! I cannot wait! This program is vigorous, but I would not change my decision for the world! Having graduated from fsu and knowing what it is lile to be in a classroom of 300+ students, I love the small class sizes. My entire class is very close and it has helped each of us succeed. Being able to have those one on one with the professors is also a plus! No program is perfect, but I am glad I chose keiser. During my clinical rotations and nurse extern shifts, I have heard of/seen some of the other nursing programs do things in which we taught NEVER TO DO. I like the foundation we were given. Especially in my med-surg courses and peds course. Please keep in mind every campus may be different, but for the most part, to my understanding, the curriculum is the same for all. Good luck! Hope this helps. :-) Sorry for any typos, I'm using my phone
  12. Haha, you know...I thought about it! Lol jk! Thanks for the link!! I feel a little better!
  13. So, I am very scared about this new grading system for the NCLEX. I graduate in december and am terrified of this exam!! I searched for practice and apps and all books to help me study! I found this seller on eBay. Figured I would oost if anyone needs more practice or review. I got a bunch of nclex stuff from this seller for super cheap! There's so much review and and so many practice questions, Im really happy i found this! Hopefully this helps someone else too! I've been working on my questions daily! ^_^ Still super scared, but a little excited after finding this stuff!! I posted on another thread an active listing. I think this might be better in case someone sees it after the listing ends. :-/
  14. I got a bunch of nclex prep items from a seller on eBay. Pretty great deal with a crap load of material! Here's a link of what's on there now. They have some buy it now if you're not a bidder. Hope this helps! eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=171108075773
  15. Cdub, sorry so late! Yes it is very doable. It is just TONS of reading! The clinical rotations are during class time, you just have a longer day for clinical. maybe 6:30-2:30 or 7:30-3:30.It is different at each campus. In WPB there were 2 set clinical days but one day you practice clinical simulation in lab and the other is at the clinical site. In Tallahassee we had 2 clinical days and did clinical simulation a few days after our rotations were complete at our sites. Hope this helps! I have also cleaned out my inbox!
  16. Cdub. I CAN'T wait to graduate! haha. I actually transferred to the Tallahassee campus. prior to transferring I was set to go to the VA for clinicals. I really enjoyed the professors at WPB campus. I must say Tallahassee moves much quicker. But, overall I have had great experiences with both campuses.Keiser really does choose awesome professors. Clinical is really just a learning experience. Hopefully the person you shadow loves nursing! It makes a huge difference when you are welcomed. We are welcomed at the center here in Tallahassee, and it makes it easier. Be prepared to have NO SOCIAL life! If you need any more info message me. I don't sign in as much as I used to. Good luck with your endeavors!! You will definitely enjoy the faculty at the WPB campus!
  17. They have scholarships but I applied so late that I just got a private loan. But they offer scholarships throughout the year. I applied and registered a few weeks before class start. Good luck! They have plenty of resources!
  18. So far at the WPB Campus , my current teachers are amazing! They are funny and very knowledgeable. They love their profession. The director is awesome and she is very sweet. But she is straight forward and expects no excuses!
  19. If you go through the entire ATI book you will do fine. But, I would study science from cliffsnotes.com as well. The tests vary but I had way more chemistry on mine than the ATI book offered. Do all of the science practice questions. Know specific info on mitosis and meiosis. Along with math and review the others. I studied the day before and did well.
  20. I say go for BC btw. You have way more options if getting that education for close to nothing! It's just too far of a drive for me. Good to have a backup!
  21. I've heard good things about the program and professors. I start in a couple of weeks I'll be sure to give insight.
  22. That's awesome! I graduated from FSU as well! Thanks for the info!
  23. Bella how did your friend like the program? I am considering transferring to Tallahasse campus in spring.
  24. Yes I am from Florida. The site I went to was About the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association | Get a BCBS Insurance Quote from a BCBS company | Go to Your BCBS Company Member Log In. These are plans from Blue Cross Blue Shield.
