Hi Sydnie07. When I went to COD, I waited about 1 1/2 years. Now I hear the wait list is about 2 years long. I believe they may have changed the way they accept applicants now. I know they give preference to those who live in the desert. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the suggestion Erdoreen. I applied to St. B's and just had my telephone interview this afternoon with Pat the nurse recruiter. The interview went well, and I was scheduled for a clinical interview with Cris, the director of the critical care units. I'm so super excited! =)
I feel so relieved that it's not only me who cannot find a job!! I went to school in the Coachella Valley, and moved back to Pasadena after graduating in December '08 only to find NO JOBS for me. The same thing also happened to several of my classmates - they thought they had secure jobs and were dropped due to budget constraints. I just want to wish good luck to all of us as we keep on looking!!
Oh you're so lucky. I'm currently in my last semester of an ADN program, graduating next month, taking boards in January (hopefully) and I could not get an interview with UCLA. I'm soo very disappointed. They told me to call in January to try again. =( for me, but congratulations to you for getting the interview! =)
Congratulations! I also graduate very, very soon. My pinning is December 17th! I'm so very excited. You're very right, it's such a long tiring road, but the end is near, and I can't wait! Now I just need to pass my boards and find a job!
