HRSA/Nurse Corps Scholarship is now OPEN!
I'm applying! Does anyone have any tips or someone who is not in the primary Financial Aid bracket? I missed by just $300! Has anyone gotten the scholarship who was not in the primary bracket for financial need?

RN might be working as a summer camp RN....
Hey! I am currently a nursing student and have 3 job offers as an assistant nurse at summer camps this summer. I am debating between two and wondering if anyone has any experience working at Lochearn Camp for girls in VT or Blue Star Jewish Camp in NC. If so, send me a private message to chat! Any experiences and advice is helpful and appreciated! Thanks!

UWM nursing program
Does anyone know the likelihood of getting into the UWM program off of the waiting list? Also, I am in my 5th year of school and my aid has run out. I deciding if it's worth it for me to get my BSN now because I was rejected. Should I just go for my ADN at a community college somewhere and go back for my BSN later? or should I keep going for my BSN even though I may not get in again and risk wasting more time and money...

UWM nursing program
I am currently at UWM this semester-- I was just put on the waiting list this time around. However, I have been accepted into MSOE's nursing program. It's a bit more expensive ( about $15,000 in loans for me each year), but the education is great there! If you are looking into other programs, I would suggest MSOE. They have a direct entry program so if you are accepted into their school, you are automatically a nursing student. They also have a 100% pass rate for the NCLEX and a 97% job placement for new grads. Honestly, I feel that you should get into UWM's program without any problems, but it is good to have a plan B. =) Good luck to you in the future!

Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) - School of Nursing
Was anyone a transfer from a semester system to a trimester (or quarter) system? I am worried that the courses will go so quickly and that I will not be prepared as I am used to a semester system. If anyone has any experience with switching systems, please let me know how I can prepare or if the quarter system is right for me to succeed. Thanks!

Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) - School of Nursing
Hi! I am looking into transferring to MSOE from UWM (currently wait-listed). What are the pros/cons of the school? I hear the coursework is extremely difficult. Also, how do you like the trimester system? And... if you don't mind me asking, what kind of financial aid package were you offered and how did you pay for the rest of tuition? Any information is appreciated!

UWM nursing program
So, I was wait-listed for the UWM program. I am now seriously thinking about attending MSOE. Can anyone tell me their experiences with the university? It's a bit expensive. So, advice on how you paid for it would be helpful. If you transferred in from UWM, which courses transferred over? and how long did it take to start clinicals? Also, how is the coursework? I heard it's pretty dense as there are 10 week trimesters. Did you like the trimesters? Looking for pros and cons. Also, were you able to find a job afterwards? and do you feel that it was worth it in the end? I am a 5th year student with nothing to show for it, my aid is going to run out soon and I am starting to get burnt out! I just want to be a nurse, but I keep getting held back! I really just would like to know your experiences. Also, if anyone knows of other direct-entry programs, let me know! =)

2012-2013 HRSA Nursing Scholarship Application
Hey everyone! I am thinking of applying for the NSP for the next cycle. However, I do not have a EFC of 0. Unfortunately, it is much higher due to my parent's income. I am wondering if I should even put the effort in to apply if I do not have a chance... I am an AmeriCorps alumni, volunteered in Africa in the health centers, and also attend school in one of the most poverty-stricken cities in America, where I often volunteer with low-income minorities. I have a decent GPA of 3.4, but my EFC is around $5,600. However, my family doesn't actually contribute ANYTHING because I have 10 siblings (many of which still live at home). If I have no chance of getting the NSP, does anyone have any other suggestions as to where I could apply? Thanks for all your help!
